I so badly hope one day their government gets more loose so I can visit, bc I agree with everything you said here. Within a few years I think it could very well be the best continent for theme parks, right now I have Europe ahead because I think they have higher quality, although that could change fast

I've been to China several times & there is absolutely no reason that you can't visit. The government will _never_ "get more loose," but traveling around the country is easy, cheap, and safe. Especially the large, touristy cities where most of these parks are. All COVID restrictions were lifted in March and friends I have there say these arbitrary, local rules enforcements that have resulted in detainment for a few Westerners are mostly rumor & not happening.
It's China. Quality????.

@@Thesmokercoaster You're onto something here. Yes, China makes some very good-looking parks, but if you look closely at the buildings & structures that make all this beautiful theming, you'll easily see a low build quality to just about everything they do. Much lower quality than Western countries, especially the U.S. This is something I've noticed about China in my travels there over the years, they do things cheaply. That's why so many U.S. corporations have their stuff manufactured there, so they can make more money when selling cheaply-built goods.

I'm a wood coaster hobbyist & close to riding every wood coaster in the U.S. China is next! Something important that wasn't in this video. In the U.S. we have 3 large Gravity Group coasters, Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, and Boardwalk Bullet. All 3 consistently ranked among the best wood in the world. The other Gravity Group rides are smaller coasters but are still shockingly fun! In China there are 10 Gravity Group coasters, and every single one is a large ride like Voyage. They look amazing & are rated highly by the enthusiasts who have ridden them. This is why I'll begin riding wood coasters in China in 2025, with a goal of riding them all. This is a great video, but little attention was given to the incredible, underrated wood coasters in China, that could be some of the world's best. This is understandable, since most enthusiasts are mainly into steel coasters. Not me.
One thing I would add onto this video is the political side of things. Showing how the republic of China is a communist regime can be a touchy subject, but would make this video so much cooler. Pointing out the fact that those outside of the country may not be able to visit these amusement parks with ease would add another layer of depth to your analysis.

They do have some amazing coasters in China. With that being said, they also have a lot of policies to prevent "foreign body types" from enjoying them. Travel there are your own emotional peril. There are much better Asian countries in which to spend your money.
Don’t plan on going to china anytime soon. Most likely going to Korea and Japan next year!
Would you mind naming some of those policies? Cause I've never had any issue with rollercoasters in China.
Here's my idea of europe vs asia theming: asia-rocks & stuctures, europe-impressive rock walls and mini-vistas that tell a story above all else. Bottom line: asia may make their rides look good, but only europe can give the looks an actual purpose

I wanted to go on flash in lewa adventure on a cloudy day, but the park was closed, even though I reserved tickets for that day. Another day went to Suzhou forest amusement land and got on beyond the cloud, which had terribly slow operations

They have a LOT of terrible coasters…a LOT of knockoff coasters…and they have a TON of parks….you’d spend a huge amount of money to actually hit up the parks to get a good amount of coasters in. Most parks seem to have 2-3 coasters.
the new gen vekoma rides in here are actually insane. i really wish we’re freely able to ride them one day
Ongoing genocide tends to ruin the taste of any coaster.
But removing the human rights issues I feel the big flaw for China is they operate like 90s Six Flags. A lot of good coasters, but A LOT of clones. Both official clones, and knock off clones.
Would be great if you added the name of the coaster on screen as you mentioned it or added a full list to the description

EXTREMELY underrated
I was there in June and yes they’re some bucket list rides for sure, but there’s also a ton of ‘junk’. I managed to get in Beyond the cloud, Starry Sky Ripper, Python through Bamboo Forest, Coaster Through the clouds, Falcon, and Dinoconda all within 4 days and ‘home based’ in the greater Shanghai area. High Speed trains made it pretty straightforward however, you absolutely need to know how to get around. Logistics is the biggest challenge. Glad I got the ‘Shanghai hub’ done as that’s the best ‘bang for the time/buck’ for a China coaster visit.

“Underrated” might be more accurate if more people actually got to experience the rides out there lol. I think underrated implies that people have experienced the rides and still don’t rate them highly

Maby a personal problem of mine, but I think it is somewhat weird labeling something as the best coaster of a certain type without having been on that specific one and atleast a majority of them.. Falcon might look really good, but a pov isn't enough to rate coasters in relation to each other in my opinion...
I mean in other videos (some that I have even made) I would agree with this statement, but I think this topic s general enough that anyone could speak on the subject
Knock off Vekoma SLCs with profiling that hurts just to look at being such a meme. As a result people overlook a lot of awesome looking coasters, and hot take those Chineese dive machines look better than the ones from B&M. 5 rows? Just imagine how strong the ejector airtime is in that back row. That's your answer right there. Also the fact that RMC hasn't made their way to China yet is another reason they get overlooked.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) RMC will never be seen inside of China, this could be for multiple reasons but some primary reasons are that RMC is an american company in which some major construction restrictions are presented, RMC builds the track in house as well as builds the coasters with there own team to ensure quality. Another main reason is that as an american company most likely they dont see any motivation to build RMCs in china. So do not get the idea that RMC will ever go to china.

I don't trust anything in China. Both politically and quality. While the coasters may be designed by reputable manufacturers, the build is done by chinese construction companies and standards. No thank you!!
