I prefer the action scenes in this movie over Bayformers. You can actually see what's happening, and the transformers actually utilize their vehicle modes during fights.
3:04 reminds me of the G1 transformers season 1 intro where Prowl gets picked up and thrown by one of the seekers, so he transforms into his vehicle form and does the same trick.
Instead of shaky cam, quick-cut editing, and robot designs too complex to figure out who's who, you can actually follow it. And one thing that not a lot of people are talking about is how this fight shows off Bumblebee and Dropkick's personalities. Dropkick is bigger and more cocky, so he relies on brute strength and likes to play with his prey. Whereas Bumblebee is smaller and more agile, relying on his skill and ops to use Dropkick's own weight against him.
Very nice shots tbh! You can understand absolutely everything that happens on screen and make an excellent follow up to the battle. the best thing that could happen to transformers is that Bay stopped directing the movies.
The thing I find hilarious about both the Bumblebee movie and Rise Of The Beast movie is that in bumblebee people complained about there being no mcguffin in the movie but when ROTB came out people complained about the mcguffin .
Honestly, I find it more impressive how Bee was able to stand against two stronger Decepticons and actually beat them, but in the Bayverse theh make Optimus HAVE help to beat the villain. Michael Bay really mustve not like Optimus
