The Phoenix Keeper by SA MacLean! I read it as an eARC but it's out in less than two weeks. Fun cosy fantasy set in a magical zoo with a cute romance side-plot 😊
The queen of good vibes posts again! I’m sorry you’re going through a rough patch right now, I hope that it’s something that you can come out of soon. Idk if you’re going to post more in the meantime, but this is definitely a chance to nurture and grow your RUclips channel. Idk I want more people to find you, they’re seriously missing out. Wishing you all the luck and good vibes!
Finally, another person with similar feelings about Reckless! I was so bored the whole time and I thought the one 'big twist' everyone keeps raving about was so obvious ☠️
I can’t wait to hear your review on God of the Woods. I’m really considering picking it up. I also picked up A Novel Love Story and Tangled Up recently. I appreciate those reviews as well. Now I can go in with some realistic expectations 😂
For me, I really got into Powerless in the second half of the book while I found the beginning slow. Powerful, while being a side novella, is my favourite in the series. I loved it and loved the POV. Reckless I enjoyed because I do love both Pae and Kai as characters and I like the complexity of their relationship and histories. However, I felt there was a lot of words for the plot not to move very far. I wasn’t bored but I was hoping for some more action. I will read the final part of the trilogy but I am hoping the pace picks up.
As long as the lemon trees grow is an amazing book and touches your heart. One of those books you wish you could read for the first time again! Sorry you lost your job! Hoping you will find another soon! ETA: I’m currently reading Reckless and while I think it’s okay, nothings really happened so far and in 75% in. It’s a fun read but I want more of Kitt not Kai lol.
I hope in August you have more books that a fair amount better than average. I'm happy for you that you had one 5-star book. It is one that I have and should read soon
I feel the same about The dragons promise. Previously I commented something like "I'm half way through and I'm loving it so far so I recommend it"... well this didn't age well because up untill the fist half I loved it, but the second half was so different and made me disappointed. I also missed the second "love interest" in the second half so much. Somebody once said that this book should have been divided into two books, and I agree because it tells two drastically different stories, and If both stories would have had time to develop in their own books, then I think there could have been a chance for a perfect ending
Hi jaime i love your content! As a *very* casual book reader with a busy schedule, i love listening to your content to get ideas for future reads. Also im a very casual content creator, if anyone has any ideas for a good camera/mic please reply to this comment 😅 random side note
Aww amazing! For equipment, I was previously using the canon m100 with the DJI mini portable mic. My new camera is the Sony zve010, using the same DJI mic!
Girl, I am so surprised! When did this turn into a booktube channel?! I used to follow you when you used to try different workouts! I enjoyed those videos, but the booktube content is great as well! 💕
I have been trying to give Lauren Roberts a try, but i was so disappointed with all of the books in the "Powerless" series. To be honest, "Reckless" was slightly more enjoyable to me because there were significantly less cringy/trope-obvious scenes, but not by much... I'm glad I'm not the only person not enjoying this series! I also agree with your review of "Novel Love Story". I absolutely LOVE the town and the townspeople, but i felt almost no chemistry between the main characters. Probably my biggest leftdown so far this year since i love Ashley Poston's other books.
Thank u for the video, I am wondering if I should try Reckless. My fav book of July was Rain of Shadows and Endings. It gripped me and wouldn’t let me go. Read the second book in 2 days. So so good!!
I’ll have to look that one up! Haha for Reckless, if you really loved Paedyn and Kai- I’d say give it a try! If they were meh for you in powerless, I’d say skip it 😂
i def dont want to say that im oblivious when it comes to books only because I guess the way I escape reality when reading, it feels different...in a way? My point of this comment is, I loved Powerless. I loved Powerful as well. I didnt do the tandem read and went through heartbreak twice. Heartbreaking, yet a lovely novella. Now- im on Reckless and im DEVOURING IT. I cant seem to know why but this happens with every single book I read. I've seen so many people with a different opinion than me about books like this and that's totally okay!! To each their own! It's just so weird to me because I cant see what everyone else is seeing in books that makes them not like it? I guess is what im saying. Like am I just weird that I enjoy every single book I read, even if it's giving childish and wattpad like? IM SO SORRY THIS IS SO LONG. OMG. Im just genuinely curious. I've never experienced a bad book and that is insane! 🤣😅
@@HexToxicTris omg no that’s totally ok and amazing that you’re loving the series! I’ve definitely felt that way with books that other people have hated 😂 it’s not childish of you at all!

Julie Soto wrote Not Another Love Song first (I believe) it is a Reylo fanfic she wrote called The Food Of Love. This is why there is a difference- NALS is 3rd POV and Forget Me Not is 1st person POV. I asked her when I met her why the change from 1st pov to 3rd she just said NALS was already written but moving forward she plans to continue 1st person POV for her romance books (but her next book- fantasy romance will not becuz it was a Draminene fanfic she already wrote).

It was mid, but super addicting and an easy read! So she’s now an auto-buy author for that vibe of a book hehe
