Not quite as underrated as most might think. Sean is held in very high regard in more than one genre of music. Yeah he may not be sitting on a billion dollaz, but wealth comes in many forms. Certain kinds can not be bought with dollars and cents.
He opened my mind to what really can be done on the drums. Such an amazing and irreplaceable person and drummer. Also That a metal drummer can be subtle. RIP
Seeing him replying to people jst hits ya man. Seemed like a real down to earth dude, and one of the best drummers around. RIP Sean. You made yr mark in this world 4ever. Thank you.
Just amazing drumming! What he was doing on Death's 'Human' and Cynic 'Focus ' - he was so ahead of his time! Glad I got to see and hear his genius grooves live a few years ago with DTA in Ireland. His music lives forever. R.I.P. Sean.
I've found this video really inspiring. It helped me to decide to quit playing drums and leave drumming for those who are really gifted like Sean was. Anyway I cant stop watching his playing... Every time I watch again I find a new fill, ghost notes or any wonder this man was able to create with a pair of drumsticks.
Sean, thank you for inspiring me on my drum playing. The world has truly lost a prodigy in the are of drumming. I remember in High School listening to Focus daily and thinking to myself how does one achieve such drumming greatness? For you truly were great. I will continue to be a fan of your amazing ability.
UN TÉCNICO, UN LEGADO, GRACIAS POR CONTRIBUIR CON LA EXQUISITA RÍTMICA EN EL METAL, PROGRESSIVE, UN INFLUENCER PARA TODAS LAS GENERACIONES QUE ESCUCHAMOS TU TRABAJO. R.I.P. SR. :( from Chile.
Sean you truly are something else. You should do a Drumbook with full transcription with your song with Cynic, And Death. or Maybe a DVD / book bundle XD dont know. You rock!
this guy had me hooked with his drumming on the Death record "Human." It made me want to practice my instrument & fiddle with dynamics as well as finesse. Fantastic musician, as well as, over all "Human" being... ya see what eye did there? RIP SEAN.
Truly astonishing. Thank you, Sean, for gracing us with your masterful and delightful playing! (And I'm still kicking myself for missing Cynic in Mexico last year)
Dude you are such a huge inspiration to me on drums and for music in general! Far be it for to impose, but I would love if you did "The Space For This" next. Much good so thanks!
2.55 i like the ride cymbal fill!!! so fulfilling to see it , it just shows how perfect your playing is, well done and hats off...your playing has everything, melodies, feel, precision, power speed etc...sound, perfect drummer. (forgot composition :) etc..tx

Hi Sean! I been loving and admiring your beautiful drumming for more than 10 years now.. From metal to jazz fusion. To me the most amazing is the Gordian knot project.. I am play over the cds every week. Last week I bought Ludwig supraphonic snare and I was tring to set the sound to one you and Bill used on Gordian Knot. Hi pitch and lots of sensitivity.. can you please help me getting that sound out of my snare drum. What kind of tuning you used? What snares? How did you liked that project? Thx again for signing your drumstick at the concert in Ljubljana (Slovenia) few years ago. With best regards master!
Sigh... That's what beautiful drumming looks like. What a master he was.
RIP Sean 💚 you will be greatly missed
