Driving my soft top Ferrari round the hairpin bends on the Amalfi coast. Pure retro genius. 60s chic and nostalgia. Work of art. And should be a James Bond theme tune.
This song is perfect. From the cascading intro into the body of the song where the drums come in and push the bass line in a forward progression. This song has a haunting effect, every part from the incredible bass line, keyboards 7 note progression heard throughout the song to that harpsichord/Allen organ sound playing in the background and Corrine's voice is just the best. Just a tapestry of sound and visual trip. Andy and Corrine you guys have made some of the greatest music in my life since I started the Journey with you guys in the 1980's. You guys have been in every part of my world. Love you guys.
Absolutely! This has been my experience with their music also... And the way that Corrine uses her voice at 1:57 when she sings: "and we're never coming down," is so awesome, sometimes I play it over and over. The whole song is wonderful, but that part just takes my to another world.
to Kenneth DiMaio. I fell immediately in love with Swing Out Sister in 1985 and have continued to listen and seek out every new release worldwide, to this day. They are a part of my life in a manner few artists ever achieved. The only other artist I'll mention is Laura Nyro. She too has been deeply imbedded in my memory. In my soul. Thank you for what you shared. I agree..
Dear Japanese friend, I'm sorry I did not see your message two years ago. You are right that this is a dirty world -- but it is only temporary. It is controlled by evil spiritual powers of darkness. But the Creator of this present world has a far better plan and place for those who would believe in Him and take hold of the free gift of salvation from His coming wrath and righteous judgement by trusting in His Son Jeshua (Jesus), who willingly offered Himself as a holy sacrifice 1,993 years ago on a cross in Jerusalem by taking on the sins of the world for everyone who would have faith in Him. Jeshua is our ONLY hope!
OH MY GOD! We used to play this song at a store that I worked at on Madison Ave before Spotify and Shazam and I never knew the title. Thank you so much because I’ve always loved this song❤️
Meravigliosi Swing out Sister!
Swing out-somewhere deep in the night is a musical work of art.a sublime album with stunning production and arrangements.not easy to pick favourite albums from a group that has created such incredible soundscapes over the years.
Swing out Sister's music has a natural style of playing such beautiful, original, and nostalgic pieces of music...beautifully composed instrumental rhythms and vocals, soulful lyrics, and a very intimate sound....they have a way of touching one's soul with their depth. This song is just another example of a radiant band consistently making beautiful works of art. Thank-you for sharing your gifts of music for our listening pleasure!😊👍
This is from their most together, most complete, most haunting album in my opinion, Somewhere Deep in the Night. It's like the sound track from a sixties film that never existed. As sort of a pastiche of sound scapes and imageries that conjure up another time.
Love the song, but this was another Swingout Sister travelogue video. It is ok, since I am not a Gordon Ramsey of the medium. It is nice to discover it after so many years, but it would not lead me to ask what the orientation of the band is, as some of the comments have asked. Swingout Sister just likes to ski!

Does anybody know what the instrument is that's played (metallic, struck tones), prominent during the intro (up to approx 0.42). Is it a keyboard ? Or acoustic glockenspiel? Make and model ? Many thanks.

Couldn't have described it better .. so brilliant.

...high as the moon and the stars above, out of our minds and in love!
PERFECTION. I rarely write any comments but I just couldn't stand writing how wonderful and heavenly perfect is this tune.
Swing out sister is❤❤❤❤❤❤ fantastic band love it
This song makes me want to fly n never come down, so powerful

Great piece of a great band....saw them live at Jazz Café back in 1993....fantastic concert...
There's songs are so perfectly crafted! So special - so Swing out Sister.
What a talented woman. A true beauty body and soul. Wish this is what the top 40 was all about. I miss music.
One of those songs that make you wished you had lived life fuller, a bit cruel but somehow comforting
one of my favorite swing out sister songs ... thank you:)

Feels like flying through the clouds....
lately, my very favorite SOS tune
tears of joy...
Sounds like...HEAVEN!!
Reminds me of my Snow vacation In Austria: Reith im Alpbachtal, Am Seerain 13, Thnx Fam. Wegscheider. Skiing on Swing Out Sister is awesome!
I just love this track: it's so uplifting, so cool, so...utterly brilliant. Love the glockenspiel and the guitar towards the end.
Video is fitting to the music. The feel of Alpine mountains and and cold weather can be felt in the melodies of this song. Simply wonderful!
yeah, while driving along winding alpine roads!
Vince R Where are they, somewhere in the Alps?
They are to St Gervais in France!
A voice which seems to be singing on top of the alpine! Bravo to SOS!

best song ever!
Love the male voices under Corrine's lead... exquisite.
Magnificent!
What a piece of art, makes me fly and feel, cnfident on life, makes me feel that is worthy living despite the hard life can be.
Thanks for posting! Never thought I'd see this, very nice video, fits the song perfectly.
One of my favorite SOS songs! I didn't even know there was a video. Thanks for posting it!
So brilliant magical and lovely
I love Corrine. One of a kind.
Wonderful!

how do you write something as this? pure genius
it even shows Paul O'Duffy, the nearly invisible 'Sister! Thanx.
Sounds so 60's Los Angeles. 5th Dimension.
Kind of
Yes!
I love this song and SS sister
Such a great song! So SOS
This is from the cd Somewhere Deep In The Night.
Beautiful, eh ?
back in 91 or 92, i LOVED this group. i had to be about 6 or 7 years old.
How cute love this group
Very nice as always
The great and late Michel Legrand "like" music
I use to play this song when I played the ace combat video games !
Its Perfect.
Love it
WOW I like this tune.>>>>Thank's for posting
So underrated.
Women like Corrinne are 1 in a million...Wish the female singers today were classy like her...Her class and talent make her so sexy to me...
I agree to that, but today is pratically impossible. Corine is like a white fly. Hard to find. She is a rare person.
Hey Corinne and Andy, I hope you had this much fun on your last ski trip (a couple of weeks ago).!!
Listening to this is a transcendental spinning spiraling affair
Never knew this video existed!
Are they still performing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Got two tickets for The London date on 14th July. Can't wait. Hope they do "Through The Sky"! :o)
great stuff Venice Fla. /Pittsburgh Pa.
Brilliant!!!
Hoopla, txs so much for sharing these lovely SOS vids. Who is the other couple?
Basman is right, I even felt the chill..................

Love Always, SOS
Kinda reminds me of Metheny. Very stylish and at 1:54 I’m in❤️
Excellent Find! I don't think that it's a James Martin film either...
There music.

Acoustic glockenspiel, remember seeing studio pics of it 👍🏼
Where is these mountains? Anybody knows? French? Italy?....
Bond theme song!
is this video imply that Caroline Drewery is lesbian or bi ? is that her lesbian mate ?
I believe that is Brenda & Paul O'Duffy in addition to Andy. Paul was a record producer of SOS.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
some of her singing has a sound similar to dionne Warwick.
Corine more than ever the world needs you!
I'd say it is uncommon, I mean, it is far from the conventional habits of the crowd.
Very particular....
Corinne D. looks like carole bouquet on this video
Corinne is much more beautiful, it s just my opinion😉
oh no,hell no...!
I know of no other pop song in 9/8 time.
Very observant comment...
