Insights into Automobili Pininfarina's Design Philosophy

The founder of Pininfarina 'Battista' was always repeating 'Soprattutto deve essere bello' - 'Above all it must be beautiful'.
That creates a really strong motivation for designers to innovate.

Anyone who knows us know how much we LOVE Pininfarina, but PLEASE do not try to connect the "Battista" to the 1956 Alfa Romeo S3000 CM Superflow. To publicly state that the Superflow served as "inspiration" for the Battista is actually offensive to both the cars being compared and to the public.
...unless you can credibly articulate in measurable detail where and how, specifically, that inspiration occurred.
