Maybe when Richtofen and maxis experimented on zombies, they extracted the blood from the Zombie and used it as a defence mechanism against a possible outbreak. When you see the power up, it's a bag of blood extracted from a zombie. My theory is that when you use it, you use pour it all over you so when the zombies smell you, they recognize a zombie, not a human.

I love how the Giant Robots run through the story of BO II and III.
We see Germany create them for World War I in Origins.
We see a smaller foot soldier version called the Civil Protector in Shadows of Evil, implying the Americans reversed engineered some German reach after winning the First World War.
We see the temporally misplaced Giant robot get built in The Giant and transport Primis to Der Eisendrache.
We see the Russian Gigant Robots they reverse engineered from the Germans in Gorod Krovi.
In the end though, all of these giant abominations of machine and 115 all get destroyed or deactivated eventually.
