Great, now I have to go out and sell all my soft boxes! LOL! Just kidding! Thank you Tyler! This makes you stop and think about the reflex of always using a soft box! This helps remind me that there are lots of different tools to use and you don't always have to do the same old thing!
I wish I’d watched this a week ago. I was shooting in a basement this week and went for a documentary cellar fbi agent style interview because I didn’t have any motivation. I didn’t think to use gobos to fake hard light on the back wall to give the impression there was a window.
Nice video but i think the 600d is for this a little bit to weak. Because you need to put the light further away to sell realistic sunlight. The 1200d might be the better option for this style of lighting.
I definitely want a 1200d. Fantastic light. Definitely true pulling the light further back sells more realistic light. Physics and all. Appreciate the comment!
Agree the 1200 would be better (always get more light than you think you need) but I think Tyler shows that you can still make the 600 work well w all his examples.
Dude this is some good stuffff!!! It makes total sense & i haven't heard of anyone else doing this, it also makes things look so much better!
Thanks for the comment!

I’m sure it still looked really cool!
@@TylerEdwards it looks great and the client loves it, but sat in the grade I’m wishing I’d had just popped a little something on the back wall.
