  • A few scenes of the English Electric loco shunting at the new West Grasslands yard. This was built very recently at the end of a short extension to the line, and opens up a number of new operational opportunities. The dull orange colour of the sunlight is caused by bushfire smoke from numerous fires in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and NSW.
The Eltham south Electric Tramway is a 45mm gauge, 1:24 scale electric tramway in Melbourne, Australia.

It's a railway heaven! I adore the touch of wilderness which the surroundings add and the seemingly simplistic yet natural design of the whole layout. Nice filming too! Thank you so much for sharing.

It’s such a brilliant railway. I wish I had the space for a small scale mode railway 😆👍

A great channel, and a fantastic layout. Congratulations on all your work on the track, overhead, civil engineering (the support infrastructure must have taken a lot of effort), and the excellent filmography. Most entertaining to watch. The models themselves are an interesting and diverse fleet. The plague of fires, and its devastating effects on human lives, property and wildlife, is very much on all our minds. Sincere best wishes and moral support to all our friends there.

It's great to see a garden railway with an Australian flavour. With electric locos and trams running off catenary.

I have really enjoyed watching your videos. the run down look to the track is much to my own heart and gives a very rural look. I assume you are using radio control? The operation is very smooth and a realistic speed. Well done. I look forward to more videos in the future. Thank you for posting.

How did you make wire near track switch?

Do your wires sag much in hotter weather or is colder weather not one of the issues that your part of Australia has to handle?
