    Even do heavy Challengers 3977 and 3985 were spare i would have like it if atleast one Fetter Challenger still around

      3001 got smoke deflectors shortly after she was built. When she was at the museum she originally had them off but they were later put back on in the late 2010s.

    Gosh I'm so sorry I haven't gotten around to doing 4274. With yesterday being full of steam, and past few weeks being crazy... I'll try to finish it up tomorrow

      well I thought 3829 deserved to be on the list more than some other extinct Santa fe engines. since it was the first 2-10-4 ever built.

    If the New York Central No. 3100 was saved. Somebody should build a replica for New York Central 3100 by the NYC 3100 Trust.

      Nice! I’ve seen two nyc engines both Mohawks 2933 and 3001. From what I heard 3001 has a chance to be restored to running condition

      611 was spared but the difference is that the 611 is a J class. Not a K class 4-8-2.

    All K2a class have the same streamlining like all J's but all K2'S were scrapped 1 class J survives today

      Yup. I wish a K class was preserved since we have a surviving N&W 4-6-2 and 4-8-4 all we are missing is the 4-8-2
