Super nice knife man! Like your new shop! That's a game changer! 5000 lumen LED strip lights are a nice addition. I just added 60,000 lumens to my shop and now I don't have to move lights around to film! Wow what a difference it made. Great build man!
Thanks buddy! I finally finished it! Started working on it in February! I'm going to move in the end of this month, so what you saw, was still my buddy's garage.
It's nice to have a cool buddy that will let you use his stuff! Before this pandemic stuff I routinely opened my shop on Tuesday and Thursday nights to anyone. I generally have 2-6 people over working on various projects. It was my way to have a fun and not leave my wife at home with the kids all the time. Take care, Cheers
I was showing my rasp file dagger to a machinist. Before grinding, I thought I did a good annealing. He did a file test and said I should anneal it and not quench it. The file is already so hard, quenching it will only make it brittle…Thanks for any input
I really love this piece, I had no idea you could use an old rasp for a knife, you blew my mind. That said it is more an art piece with the blade designs from the rasp, you have an amazing imagination. You clearly enjoy the colour pieces in the handle as you used it before and it looks really stylish. Love it, amazing job!
Thank you very much! The idea to use a rasp for knife isn’t mine, there’s plenty of knives made of it in RUclips, the handle was my inspiration. Glad you like it!
Dude! all blacksmiths forge big knives out of rasps for fun. But rasps are usually not very good steel Lot of them are case hardened crap steel. As long as you are a grinder jockey, you might as well buy 52100 or 440C or CPM D2 or some kind of decent steel.
I love this sorta content, I just found this guy recently and have fallen in love with his work
Thanks a lot, I'm very glad you enjoy my content that much!

I likes it. Tell the new comers to make sure that after quenching that the blade will skate a file. Good job.

Отличный нож, братик! Но лайк в первую очередь за валенки! Блин, если бы дети не спали, я бы заорал!
Спасибо, музчинка! Дааа, валенки зачет! В минус 15 на бетонном полу долго не простоишь!
beautiful, but miles too thick.
imagine using it all day 7 days a week!

Спасибо!
