I think it is THE way to learn how to get comfortable with improvisation. Nobody has ever known how to teach improvisation to me both for piano and sax. Today is finally the light bulb is on!! Thank you very much!!!
Wow, I agree! These are great exercises. Once you learn the pattern, you can up the speed. Also, instead of repeating the phrase, go to the next line and play that with the first. Then repeat the two phrases. Ideas working with this is unlimited. Perfect. Just what I have neede.
Wielkie dzięki z Polski, znakomite ćwiczenia dla samouków, jesteś bardzo dobrym nauczycielem. Many thanks from Poland, excellent tutorials, you are a very good teacher!
As a beginner recorder player I want to thank this channel as well as many other channels within the saxophone community for the amazing lessons which are so helpful to any recorder player interested in jazz.
New subscriber here, Yasuhiro I love your work. Thank you for making it available. These exercises are harder than they look. The fingering can be challenging.
Parei em 4:45 pra voltar depois... Baita estudo pra leitura e embocadura viu... Legal porque já tem a linguagem do jazz... parabéns e muitíssimo obrigado 🙏
Sir, I find this approach easy and understandable. I wish you can do a bit advance approach to 2 5 1's and same approach to cord changes for improvisation. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Amazing work! This is very usefull to practise and get close to the jazz lenguaje and sound. I love your sound on the alto... It would be awesome to have this video in the 12 Keys... 🙈 Congratulations for your work! Thank you very much for sharing it!

This is a fantastic resource - great exercises and terrific backing track - and in all keys too. What more could we want!
👍💯😉

Can I use a an A pentatonic scale to improvise over this because our A is concert C? The transposition thing confuses me?
Our (Alto Sax) A is Concert C..
You can use A (in Eb) minor Pentatonic Scale or C (in Eb) Major Pentatonic Scale over this ii-V-I
