I think it is THE way to learn how to get comfortable with improvisation. Nobody has ever known how to teach improvisation to me both for piano and sax. Today is finally the light bulb is on!! Thank you very much!!!
Wow, I agree! These are great exercises. Once you learn the pattern, you can up the speed. Also, instead of repeating the phrase, go to the next line and play that with the first. Then repeat the two phrases. Ideas working with this is unlimited. Perfect. Just what I have neede.

Sir, I find this approach easy and understandable. I wish you can do a bit advance approach to 2 5 1's and same approach to cord changes for improvisation. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

当方初心者です。ウッドベースでジャズのアドリブを練習していますが、考え方は同じでコードトーンやアルペジオで組み立てる練習をしています。
サックスの音域だとコード内でどのようにサウンドしているのがベースよりわかりやすくてタメになります。

Our (Alto Sax) A is Concert C..
You can use A (in Eb) minor Pentatonic Scale or C (in Eb) Major Pentatonic Scale over this ii-V-I
