Moonta is not your average country town. Once had a population of 12000 when the mines were up and running. About 4000 live there now. Now a top tourist holiday destination with a lovely coastline & jetties between Moonta Bay & Port Hughes. Can be a day trip from Adelaide, but a 3 night stay would be better & could include visits to Wallaroo & Kadina..both worth some time.♥️
Wow, Moonta is bigger than what I imagined and has some lovely old architecture!
