Wow. So glad I subscribed! It seems hard to find a guitarist that is willing to whammy nowadays and your usage of it was a fantastic example of how it is a great tool to have in the jam box. Absolutely smooth man!
I am so so glad that you like the content man! I agree, the whammy is a great tool for things other than just doing dive bombs :) Cheers and thank you so much for the support!
Yeah! My absolute favorite Queensryche song! Could you do a : Dial In That Tone video on the whole preset of this one? Including clean, overdriven, and the lead solo tone? Would highly appreciate it 😁 Cheers from the Netherlands! Love your channel!
Hey thanks a lot man! I think I had put the presets on axe change if I remember for the lead and rhythm tones. I honestly don't remember what I did for the cleans (I was a complete noob back then haha), but if you want I can surely try to do a preset breakdown if you'd like sometime soon. Cheers
Can you tell what effects did you use in the sections? Like: Intro: A bit of overdrive and delay + reverb? Verses: Chorus + reverb? Pré-chorus and chorus: Distortion + reverb? I like this song and I start to play guitar but with pedals, so I'd like to build the guitar tone the closer to what you did in this video. It's beautiful! 😁
Gurtej. Your tone is incredible! It renews my faith in the Axe FX II. What kind of setup do you recommend for live performance? I have an Axe FX II XL+ but my bandmates think my tone sounds too synthesized and I have a tough time cutting thru the drums and the other guitarist when soloing. They recommend I get a real cab instead of FRFR and a tube amp.
I have never used the axe FX live to be honest, but in my opinion both FRFR and amp should not make much of a difference. Maybe add more level and mids to your solo tone to cut through the mix, can help to carve through the mix.
Hey thanks man. Yes, looks like the channel has been taken down. I will have to check if I have the backing track still with me, this was really long ago. Thanks for your feedback!
Awesome playing and tone. Does the JP15 stay in tune well after heavy whammy use? and is this guitar good for other 80's metal like Def Leppard and Maiden? Thanks
Thank a lot! The JP15 bridge is incredible and it pretty much stays in tune even after heavy whammy usage in my opinion. In my years of playing this guitar, there is nothing that this guitar can't play, which is played on humbuckers, in my opinion. I have some more covers in the channel in case you are interested to check them out. Cheers!
Thank you! Yes, the Axe FX has great tonal capabilities! I used to feel the exact same way, hence I saved up and bought one! I wish I could afford the Axe FX III :) Cheers and thank you for your feedback!
Yes! They should be up there, have you tried the links in the comments section? Thanks a lot for your feedback man and I appreciate that you watch my videos! Cheers.
Thank you so much! And good question! I think it was a separate preset which I borrowed and tweaked from the axe change. I'll have to see and get back to you!
I don't know where the video is not aligning with the audio for you. This is a playthrough and not actual live playing in some parts, so it may seem that way. But it looks fine to me.
Queensryche - YES!
Thanks so much Leon! Thanks so much for watching :)
HEy man Caribbean viewer here ...its spot on!
The chord progression in the verse is soo beautiful.
It's so melodic and so evergreen this song. I can listen to it a 1000 times and still find parts which are new. Amazing composition! Thanks

😁that was perfect.

Very well done cover! One question, how did you get the clean tone? (Drive switched off in the rhythm patch combined with a coil split on the guitar?)
Thank you so much! And good question! I think it was a separate preset which I borrowed and tweaked from the axe change. I'll have to see and get back to you!
@@GurtejSinghGuitar I'd like to get that preset too, let's know when you upload it.
