The vl-tone sample in this song is the rock-1 beat on board, nothing else is sampled from the vl-tone but that drum part. I didn't find any sheet music or anything, but the song is mostly on guitar and does have tabs out there. I did my version on a piano roll by ear, though.
@@wailordzp6363 It is pretty difficult picking out the quality of chords on guitar so I don't blame you. I don't really know how I would post the midi I made to the song tbh but after checking the tabs on ultimate guitar, I think they're correct for the most part.
This is so awesome. I'm curious what your process for recreating the melody looks like. Do you simply find the key and guess and check? Is there any useful shortcuts or tips you have for recreating songs? Love this cover.
Honestly my process is pretty brute force-y. I tend to figure out the voice that I'm going to make the instrument first (subject to change) then find the notes, then shape the voice to sound closer with effects and EQ. I should probably have more shortcuts tbh, but I kinda do it by feeling. I'm planning on making a video on Earthmover that should elaborate some on my creative process.
