Someone has mentioned it already, but I am certain Riven is going to be the breaking point for most people going into Pantheon. 20+ Power on Contest Mode, and there's a question of whether they fixed the Cheese for Pantheon, forcing people to do a Contest Mode Riven legit. Especially if wiping in Pantheon means you have to start the Boss Rush over again. I could see them changing Riven's mechanics (given their complexity is why most do the Cheese to begin with), but I have to wonder if they will change Nezarec's mechanics as well, given he's the final boss in the Boss Rush.
Something I'm pretty concerned about: the roadmap they put out for Into the Light has a timeframe for Pantheon of "Apr 30 - Jun 3." So it seems like this might only be a limited time event that we get barely more than a month to complete. Not stoked about that tbh

I stopped going for titles back at the start of WQ (all the raids they've re/introduced from vow and onward) and the only time I ever bothered with a contest/day 1 was Root (which given the backlash from the high-level community about it, I haven't touched another contest mode or worn the emblem despite it being one of my better memories simply from the animosity there seemed to be about how it wasn't a "real" contest/day 1 experience). This might be the first time I actually try with raids again.
You should be proud of that RON emblem given that it’s one of your favorite memories, even if people are assholes and elitist about it. Their opinions shouldn’t affect pride of a day one completion.

i have almost 50 titles. and every raid seal. i know i will never get this one. no way in hell im going to flawless 8 raid bosses back to back in contest mode. actually i cant even see the best of the best doing this easy. actually iv never seen anyone at all do a no wipe full contest mode run of any raid let alone all of these with no wipes allowed

I don't think it will orbit you if you wipe. Nearly nobody would be able to beat Nezarec Sublime. Getting 8 of the *hardest* boss clears at *contest* mode level in a ROW without a single wipe doesn't seem feasible even for the best players. The emblems are dope AF though.
Back in season of the deep I remember one of my buddies that started playing in 2021 was complaining because basically the game was at its lowest point and bungie was trying to kill there game. I told him that he hasn’t been around long enough and that bungie always eventually cook’s stuff up. Well that’s truer now than ever. This went from looking like the longest and most boring season ever to the best season in Destiny history
No way they would kick us to orbit. That last version with all bosses will take way over an hour for most people to complete. They would never just kick us after failing on Nezarec after being in there for over an hour =P
Time for a rematch for Contest Rhulk, my team ended up being one of the first to beat Caretaker due to the infinite DPS phase glitch but got stuck on Rhulk for 17 straight hours running back to back attempts. My Osteo Striga went up 85 levels in the boss room alone and we only managed to kill Rhulk because I procced the DOT poison on him before we wiped in final stand. This one is gonna hurt to run it back again.
I understand the appeal of extinguish to hard-core streamers, but dude there is no way they put that modifier on this activity. I also hate that this is not staying in the game for more than 6 weeks.
Bungle keeps teasing the how powerful we will become. Ahh the witnesses power will be mine and I will use it on those who oppose the fleet and darkness. Hahahaha I’m warlock main so I’m a bit power hungry as a guardian 🤣

For true endgame challenges like this, insanely cool cosmetics are the best rewards imo. You get to flex rare emblems/titles without power creeping past those without teams or raid experience.
