The ripest peach is highest on the tree -
And so her love, beyond the reach of me,
Is dearest in my sight. Sweet breezes, bow
Her heart down to me where I worship now!
She looms aloft where every eye may see
The ripest peach is highest on the tree.
Such fruitage as her love I know, alas!
I may not reach here from the orchard grass.
I drink the sunshine showered past her lips
As roses drain the dewdrop as it drips.
The ripest peach is highest on the tree,
And so mine eyes gaze upward eagerly.
Why - why do I not turn away in wrath
And pluck some heart here hanging in my path? -
Love's lower boughs bend with them - but, ah me!

I Know This isn't Really Relevant but when you started Reading this Poem and started Describing the Meaning of it The Image of the character of Niles Crane On The Sitcom of Fraiser when his character Tried to Obtain his Ripest Peach Named Daphne Moon for Most of the Run Of that Series. Up Until Season 8 To Be Exact, Maybe it's because I was just Finished Watching A Couple Of Episodes of their Many Reruns just before watching this Video. And It so happens it was from The First Season of that Show. That and Maybe with I've been watching The Sitcom of Frasier Pretty Much Everyday For Quit Some Time Now All Because I've always managed to Finished up Every Video that was or is in My Current Watchlist in my Watch Later Playlist.
