To be honest I think it's because of the content. It seems that shows that deal with anything urban or crime related involving blacks gets looked over for the top tier awards. I'm not saying it's race related but more so a generational lack of understanding in regards to the awards committee. Simply put, they can't relate to it so it gets overlooked and not considered.

Saint started out as a genuinely good person, Walt was just restraining himself. Walt killed 2 people so fast without thinking, Saint didn't, even his first kill made him hesitate MANY times and didn't even want to pull the trigger.

I mean, out of the three of them, she's the only one that's been shot in a driveby. she almost died. doctor said her survival was a coinflip. The only reason that happened was because franklin decided to gang up on skully instead of manboy, which she pointed out beforehand was the wrong choice. I think most people whod been shot would start thinking about their own safety first above all else. its not that egregious that she said "my life", considering she's the only one who almost died due to franklin's decisions.

Because of taking the risks and fronting the entire operation, which is the only reason she was in position TO make the money she did. Also Jerome was stupid for asking her to come to the funeral, knowing people are trying to kill them all. Fatboy got killed cuz he and Leon killed Skully's daughter. Skully had been trying to murder them all from BEFORE his daughter was killed. If she cared about her safety she wouldn't have had her junkie cop attempt to murder Kane, which ended up getting her kidnapped and tortured and Jerome killed. She did the exact OPPOSITE of what she claimed she was trying to do, everything she did put her and jerome in more danger and more risk, which was pointless. They were already rich, and "doing it on your own" puts you at more risk than anything. RIght here she coulda shared 50/50 with franklin and she and jerome would be alive and safe right now(cuz she'd have never been raided and viewed as the queenpin of coke). Her saying my life when she's been the most reckless and(least able to take care of herself) was ridiculous.

Sad because Jerome knew she was on BS and he was happy with 50/50 if you look at his reaction... Also something to note now that the season is over... Louie never pressed Teddy about the price of a Kilo once she started doing business with him, so it was never about the cost to begin with. She just didn't want to feel like she was working for Franklin😞
Boom! The bigger picture was her not being on his side because she felt that she knew more than he did which was complete bullshit. She wanted the power and felt she needed to do whatever it took to get there even it meant crossing Franklin. She don’t know that there is more risk at the top and she’s too busy chasing her ambition. TBH, she’s not even family anymore, she’s a rival. And Franklin played the perfect card to get rid of her.
I thought it was weird when Louie went to Skully about selling it for 10 a key, and then in the end he says 10 a key is fine. So she must've been selling it higher than she let on and the 9 a key was only for her personal gain.

Power. It's obvious money is not enough. She wants to be the queen of it all and no amount of money can satisfy that desire. The first chance she gets to either steal the plug from Franklin or somehow compromise him so that he's out of the way she will take it.

She offered one territory in Franklin's home base of LA. Louie no doubt helped Franklin out, especially when he got shot, but now she biting the hand that fed her and tryna outshine the master. 2 big no-nos.
I feel like franklin had every right to snap. Franklin just tryna stay alive make more bread and keep his new family safe. His aunt and uncle not making it easy for him. At the same time Lou did go through some traumatic stuff.

Jerome sat back completely and let his wife take the reigns. Which is funny, because in S2, Louie cried about not being treated as an equal partner, when in fact, she wanted to be the main boss
Franklin tried to offer 50/50 with Louie during season 5 and it wasn’t enough for her. She was greedy and power hungry. She said she didn’t want to be told what to do but Teddy also checked her in their 1st meeting.
She only wanted what Franklin had.
Exactly. Franklin wanted freedom too, but he understood that in the game he was in, everyone is under someone. You can't survive by breaking the chain of command.
Which only showed that it was never about the prices for her. She wanted to be in the spotlight, got her husband killed and herself raided.

Mannn I'm rooting for Franklin to win all he wanted to do is make sure his mom, daddy, uncle, aunt louie,, and his best friend make enough money to get out poverty. And they all had a hidden agenda smh. This speaks volumes about black people and black families in real life we can't never get ahead because somebody always wanna be the man or the one who everyone look up to instead of working together like family
hands down one of the best scenes in the show
quick breakdown. 1:15 Jerome’s eyes twinkle when Franklin mentions a 50/50 split. why? because in addition to that being hella generous, the deal from earlier seasons(season 1 or 2) was 75/25, which Jerome had to bargain for because Franklin wasn’t willing to give up much after Jerome left him out to dry. Jerome then looks at Louie in hopes of approval, after Franklin says they gotta get the op under one roof. When Louie responds saying they ain’t doin dat, Jerome has a negative expression of “omfg”, because he knows at that point, the problem is just Louie. then forward to when Jerome says “gettin tired of dis, Lions fighting over sheep”, when Louie tries to exclude him, he tells her to handle it, because he knows it’s her who’s being unreasonable. so when Franklin agrees with him, Jerome gets defensive & feels like he has to maintain neutrality, which is why he goes at Franklin, telling him don’t talk out his neck. That was always Rome’s problem. He let his love for her, make him ignorant to the fact that his wife was selfish & out for self, which led him to his grave & for his whole journey there, couldn’t acknowledge that, & resorted to deflecting & blaming Franklin
