Listening and watching from USA 🇺🇸, am so engrossed with the difficult war time of Liberia because my Daddy was with ECOMOG from Ghana and he used to talk a lot about the Liberian war as his personal battles with humanity, how they have to help Civilians caught in crossfires .
I have heard the name of this man, Dr Fahnbulleh , I pray for a brain like this but not for war but for advancement of human lives in Jesus Christ name

This guy is a pan African original!!! I don't know him but he is an African hero. This TRC is different from the Gambian one. Here the person's being questioned appear to be under no obligation to say what they did. They even have the impunity to scold the panel.... I hope essa faal was the panelist!!!

I agree. But I don't get it that he remained quiet throughout Ellen's presidency and held on the post of National Security Advisor. Was it that, to him, Ellen's government was the kind of government that he envisages?

Right now we need to start changing the flag and constitution also the republic seal. We don’t want no American relationship!!! If I have power right now I will liberty the Liberian people from the mis-blindness in our society! Company like Firestone should be paying back to the Liberian people! We should be paid per hour in our country!

Thats the exact thing the international community want to do in Liberia, share power, which has failed, and is very wrong way to do things. It makes loosing individuals or parties feel entitled. Therefore they do not recognize their failures, and never changes their ideologies or even modified them. They become more arrogant and demanding. But in Liberia, we say " never again ".

The Americans knew all this about Samuel Doe, that he was not aware of these things, and yet they put him in power. Therefore it is wise to say if they cannot manipulate you,or control you, then you become valueless. The mistakes they make here is that your life is very valuable to God who created you. Samuel Doe or President Tolbert and his associates should have never died like that.

Strongly agree that our Liberian political system needs decentralization. Too much power concentrated in the Executive Branch which is breeding ground for graft, corruption, favoritism and nepotism.
Our constitution needs a constitutional conference and all Liberians need a voice. All the 15 counties need very limited autonomy to manage their own affairs. Splitting up counties and creating more from original counties serves no purpose if they are not included in the national discussion and power sharing.

That was the TWP major blunders, they lack the consciousness of other human beings. The hundred or so years rule brought this agrievious ARROGANCE and INERTIA. Sadly this Same force exists today, hopefully they can recognize this to change their directions. Liberia would have loved to see Tolbert inclusive government, and see him retired successfully no matter the challenges.
