    If you are scared of fruit, test it for yourself, and you'll see. I way over eat fruit everyday, makes me feel great and clear, but also very expensive; I am addicted. I also cannot keep weight on, I used to think fruit was bad for you when I was a low carb believer in my 30's, but I experimented myself and discovered I was lied to for many years. If you are scared of fruit, you are missing out!

      processed foods are bad, not the carbs themselves. allowing myself to binge on fruits completely erased my habit of binging on breads and highly refined carbs. eventually much of my fruit binging was replaced by vegetable binging. the only food i crave now is fruits, vegetables, and a little meat.

      @Opressa Era wait now im really scared because I have been eating fruit every day now for idk how long and im only 16 :( I just dont know what to believe anymore because some sites say that eating lots of fruits prevents diseases and such and that its healthy to eat it everyday, but ive also seen a lot of stuff about fruit causing fatty liver and other stuff so I just have no idea who is speaking the truth anymore and im just really scared lol bc now I dont know what to eat anymore

      @Opressa Era okay that’s very interesting, from now on i’ll definitely cut back on the fruits. do u think it’s okay to eat 1 piece of fruit a day? or like half a banana and a few blueberries? or a nectarine? are fruits that are low in sugar and fructose still safe to eat everyday? or if i eat fruit but just make sure to not go over a limit of 20 grams of fruit sugar idk? sorry it’s a lot of questions but this is all very new for me since i have always been told how super super healthy fruit is.

    I concur. I eat fruits everyday and drastically reduced my carbs and protein. Some days I just eat fruit, I lost 7kg in 3 weeks.

      @@truth517 I portion the fruit like one apple one orange and one pear per meal. It also reduced my appetite. I'm off the fruits now, but my portions of regular food have reduced drastically. I can't eat a full plate, even small dessert plate

      Salma Umar I used to take fruits for lunch and I did not have belly fat. Then I have blood test and dr said that my protein level is low and to increase my protein intake on every meal. So I cut out fruits and take one chicken drumstick for lunch and after a year of taking like this, my belly was big and now I couldn't cut my belly fat whatever i do. How do you increase your protein by taking fruits only for meal. I did not want belly fat, but i also want to increase my protein level. Fruits were good for losing weight but did not increase my protein level. Taking meat cause me to put on weight. My waist line is getting bigger and bigger.

    I always say ‘I’ve never met a single person who said they became overweight from eating too many grapes!’
    Added sugar and oils (no fibre, easily absorbed and high calorie density) are the issues. Whole food is the way to go.

      Doing the same now. It just was downloaded in my head to grab a piece of fruit instead of having a sugar binge. Which is better long term? Candy binge with hundreds or thousands of calories or a large orange that will actually then help make me feel full. This could be magic for me after 40!years of Candy addiction

    I love bananas, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, apples, peaches, apricots, pineapples, mangoes, and raisins. I hate plums, papayas, nectarines, lemons, grapefruits, limes, jackfruits, and dates.

    I eat several servings of fruit a day and I have normal BMI. I used to be overweight, but that was before eating more fruit and adopting a mostly whole foods, plant-based diet. Usually I eat berries, but I also eat tamarind, kiwi, or bananas as well.

      i got in shape by eating "more" fruit and "more" vegetables. Without consciously doing it, these foods started to replace a lot of processed food that I ate.

    I hate to break it to you, but it's not only un-credentialed people that are pushing the whole "fruit is bad for you" narrative. I am a personal trainer and I have many clients who tell me their certified nutritionist or dietitian is telling them not to eat fruit. It gets very frustrating because these people should know better!

    It depends from person to person. I was in Carribean vacation for two weeks and went on all fruit diet and I put on 8 lb.

      Curious.. how much of that fruit was strictly fruit and not smoothies with additives or fruits in syrups, things of that nature… also, we’re you physically active on the trip or did you relax most of the days where you really didn’t move much?       @@InsendoChavero it was just fruits. I never drink juices or smoothies. And at my next blood test my triglycerides and cholesterol were all time high Of course I didn't move much. It was vacation. But besides that I have an active lifestyle, working in construction . And just recently I started testing my BG and after fruits it spike high

    Where I agree fruit shugars ate better than refined and fake shugars to still be mindful of your health. My grandma went fruitarian for years an now is diabetic, you gotta make sure your doing it right an mindful of getting all the nutrients you need that you'd normally get from outher foods.

    Thank you, just watched loads of videos where fruits are mentioned to be bad.
    I've already lost loads 7kgs over past few months with oats, natural yogurt and grapes, apples, pears, plums, etc. Always loved fruits and there is not much cooking, so it suits me perfectly. I'm now at between 15-18% fat and trying to get to 13% slowly within next few months.

      KiKos How to increase protein level by eating fruits? Dr. said my protein level is low but when I started taking meat instead of fruits, my belly fat increase and I couldn't reduce my belly fat no matter what i do. I used to take fruits only for lunch and I could keep my weigh down, but then, my protein level is low on a fruit diet? How do you increase protein level without increasing weight?

      @@thinkcat01 hey. Pick natural yogurt or Greek yogurt and they have a lot of proteins.
      Also you could add a spoon of peanut butter.
      I've lost now 15kgs based on that and I'm at 7% fat and trying to stop losing weight.
      Besides that I am/was eating veggies, eggs, tuna, and chicken, etc.

      @@thinkcat01 Also, another tip is to limit rice, bread, potatoes and pasta. I found that if eat them then I feel hungry a lot faster then when I eat oats, or tuna, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, spinach, roman lettuce, wraps, mozzarella, etc. It takes while to change but its worth it, I think. If you get burger, don't get chips/fries, etc.
      also protein shakes are not bad for proteins.

    A lot of diet doctors agree that fruit can indeed make you fat. However not all fruits are created equal. Keto allowed fruits such as berries are usually okay, so a cup of them a day may be okay if you're trying to lose weight, but others such as bananas for example, although may not be as bad as a can of soda, does raise blood sugar and can lead to weight gain just as eating too many refined carbs and candy can.

      anything can make you fat if you eat enough of it. food groups don't cause fat, calories cause fat. and all food has calories.
      the question is which foods make you feel the most satisfied with the fewest amount of calories. For 100% of all humans the answer will be some combination of fruits, vegetables, and meat. people struggle with portion control because processed foods taste the best, but they are the worst at making you feel satisfied

    For someone who has insulin resistance such as PCOS, isn’t high sugar fruits harmful to those levels? Versus just consuming low sugar fruits like berries? Thanks!

      Markeisha Robinson Fruits does not increase blood sugar level. I takes a lot of fruits everyday; bananas, mangoes, papayas, watermelon, oranges, etc. but my blood sugar level is in the normal range after blood test. My friend who take little fruit or hardly any fruits, afraid of blood sugar level did a blood test and found her blood sugar level was high, above the normal range. So fruits does not increase your blood sugar level. Sometimes i just take fruits for lunch or dinner and nothing else.

    I eat a freaking tons of banana every single day because bananas here are super cheap and i binge fruit every time i stress out and that why im here cuz im worried fruits will make me fat becuase they said its about calories in and calories out and i can eat a freaking 500 cal of bananas in one setting

    I can tell you that fruit Does Not Make You Fat even without watching the vid. Bc Fructose is broken and used differently in the body compared to Glucose and Sucrose.

    Actually it depends on the portions of HOW MUCH fruit you eat. My son with Autism eats nothing but fruit, though he’s hyper but he is overweight, because he eats so many mangoes and pears and apples! Because of his Autism and OCD, we seen that my son is not losing weight thinking “oh it’s fruit and it’s healthy” but in fact he is not losing his weight and has abdominal fat. So yes you should us three studies (and I have a PhD in cardiovascular rehabilitation btw), but those three are not enough and your opinion is biased, because even just going regular medical websites like WebMD, or the American or British Heart Associations, they will tell you too much fruit still puts on calories.

    My boyfriend says that since I am fasting and when I’m eating on the time that I’m supposed to he said that I’m not allowed to have any fruits that contain apples, bananas, etc. because of the sugar and he thinks that it will have me gain weight.

    Reason I am scared of vegtabel and fruit mostly fruit is because of I have read of lot of thing too much fruit does... Example.. Fruit can cause fatty liver and in my my mind if it effects one organ then it going to start effecting other part of your body and make you gain weight or sick or give you diabetes and my mind overthink so much and am person who loves fruit and vegetables but past years I try to stear clear of lot of suger even natrul sugar my daily in take is +/-23g and mostly it of natural sugars.....and I feel I have degree of intolerance of natural sugar because I get bloated

      the sugar is mostly the same, but the fiber in fruit delays the insulin spike in comparison to eating breads or other highly refined carbs. also fruits will fill you up better than a bag of chips. also fruits are meant to beaten along side vegetables.

      Yes you can get fat from sugar, your assertion is clearly wrong. Sugar is converted to fat as part of the insulin action, and stored as fat (adipose tissue) around the body. Look it up.

    idk how people think fruits are bad for you. the low in calories. and extremely low in fructose. do you know how much fructose you'd have to intake to have an effect on your health? like a crazy shit amount. and even then like you said, from actual fruits to fruit juice is different. fruits are low in calories as is, there mostly water

    Hi - love this video. Love your whole vibe. But I have a question for you and/or for anyone smart: can I eat fruit and nuts at the same time or is that bad (mixing fat and carbs?) does it increased triglycerides? Thank you so much.

      It is bad to mix them. Fruits should be eaten alone. Mono meals are even better.

      eat more vegetables. food groups don't make you fat, calories make you fat. you ate too many calories.

    I know a fat person that can't lose weight , but i have observed this person eating a giant salad bowl of fruit every day. like 2 or 3 apples, a few oranges, a bunch of grapes and like 3 or 4 bananas. it must be 4 pounds of food. And they are diabetic. It seems like it's too much.

      @@danielkwm Yeah, that's what I would imagine as well. Eating just fruit.
      BTW, a high fat, high protein diet will interfere with insulin sensitivity and might also be associated with metabolic problems that might make eating alot of fruit problematic. The best thing is to eat fruit as part of a healthy, low fat diet.

      I eat around five apples and many more clementines every day. Ever since I quit sugar, I really started to love fruit. It just tastes way better once you quit sugar.

    My diabetic body cannot differentiate between fructose or any other form of 'natural' sugar. Sorry, Yes it can make you fat.
