Its just a matter of reaching the end first but you have a certain amount of time until your lakitu cloud expires and if that happens you just end up eliminated. The collectible lakitu clouds just increase the amount of time you have left til your lakitu cloud expires while the fuzzys decrease that amount of time.

There are only 3 minigames that can show up in the Reverse Minigame roulette - the bob-omb combo one, the apple conveyors one, and the fuzzy clouds one. All 3 of them are quite interesting in their reverse mode, played very differently from their regular modes. But it's just sad that, unlike Mario Party 9, I don't believe you can play Reverse minigames outside of those Bowser events.
