Thinking about buying this. Now, since a year has passed, can you tell me how satisfied you are with it? Is it comfy? Is it durable? Does the cover shrink when you wash it? Thanks in advance.
@@papic03 Well, I took a leap of faith and ordered mine, it's coming tomorrow. So if he doesn't answer - as it seems he won't - I'll let you know how I like it.
@@papic03 Ok, my EKTORP chair arrived, so guess I'll do a full review. Putting it together is very easy once you've done it the first time. But that first time it's a little confusing. Took me about 15 minutes. Putting on the covers on the chair itself and onto the cushions took longer. That was a fucking workout. It's a tight fit and if you're a small person like myself you gotta wrestle that chair to get its skin on. lol The covers are super tough and seem very durable. Definitely child proof. The chair is unexpectedly heavy for an Ikea item. Which is good I guess. Makes it sturdy. It's one sturdy chair. It's huge. Will fit one normal size female plus young kid or dog. You don't want this in a tiny room, unless that's all you want. It's ultra comfortable. In this respect it exceeded my expectations by far. As in omg I never wanna get up again. The legs are a bit of a disappointment: just hollow plastic screw-on cones. You don't see them when you put the cover on, but still, such a good chair with such cheap legs. To sum it up, if you're looking for an affordable, well built, exceptionally comfy and pleasing to the eye throne of an arm chair - get this one.
This was absolutely the most unhelpful video. Why does everyone feel the need to speed these up when what we need is a normal time video so that we can follow step-by-step. And please explain each step and each piece/screws etc you are using and where they go. This video was only meant to frustrate people. We know how to take it out of the box and set it on the ground.
Thanks
Learned absolutely nothing from this
Ditto. The only thing I learned from this video is that this guy can put together a chair really quickly without really showing us how he’s doing it.
Can a head support from ikea be attached to this? (there is one for VIMLE but not sure if it can be attached with ektorp)
Thx in advance!

Okay if you want to show people how you assemble ...then the video should of been slower ..but thank anyway
You didn't explain anything nor provided any tips. I learned nothing from this video. What was the point of this video?
