I am surprised to see him hating on it so much. I respect his opinion tho, everyone has their own taste but this is the first time I’ve ever seen a review where someone didn’t fall head over heels for this stuff! I have been apart of blind tastings with some of the most extreme bourbon enthusiasts and it’s ALWAYS top 3. I wonder if he has the same opinion on this in today!
I'm sure you two have been on more than your share of bourbon tours, but for my money, I dug the hell out of Old Forester's distillery, because they show you nearly the entire process and it includes the charring of the barrels. I highly advise a visit for anyone on their way to Louisville and Whiskey Row.
Mine too. Always remember the best whiskey is the one you like. I've got caught up in trying to like something because it was more expensive or the majority liked it more.
I actually think I may like the new 1910 the best out of all of the Whiskey Row series. I haven’t done a side by side against the 1920 yet, but after my first pour of 1910, I am impressed. I do agree that it does taste more like a finished bourbon than the WR double oak, but I like both.
Just found this one, and I must say it became an instant favorite. It's available here in PLCB regulated Pennsylvania for under $50.00. You do need to hunt for it,as it's a limited release, but to me well worth the effort. Love your reviews and comparisons, always look for your takes on what I'm finding here.
I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed this. This one scared me because I am a fan of the Whiskey Row series and was afraid this would be so different and would not go with my palate . It's definitely different, but it will have a spot on my shelve for sure
Bought a bottle this past Friday, but have not uncorked yet. Really enjoyed the Whisky Row Series so far, with the 1920 being my favorite of the previous three.
First video I ever watched from you folks. Great quality. Initial impression is you folks interrupt each other a lot. Maybe that’s part of the vibes/fun on this channel, but that’s my first observation.
Bought a 1910 last week. America’s taste buds have spoken and are divided. I’m not a fan of finished bourbon’s but I hope my taste bud’s are fashioned more like Sara’s. I want to like this bourbon.
Brad Henderson Get the series. 1-3 are very good, with the 1920 being the best. I just uncorked my 1910 and agree with Chad and Sara’s review. More of a finished bourbon, than a double barrel.
I’d love to see a head to head of ‘this’ bottle (if it’s still open and full) with a current day 1910. With the first release the story of the fire was on the bottle, and now its a different set of smoke mirrors on the labels, with a noticeable difference in flavors.
Most liquor stores in US have those bottles unopened as well... Are you opening a store or growing your whiskey knowledge/appreciation by trying as many different styles to develop your palate and increase your enjoyment?
Nice review. Would be interested in seeing you two do a side by side tasting with Woodford Reserve double oak during your next live show. They sound like they are both produced in a similar way by the same master distiller. Cheers
I just uncorked my bottle of 1910. I agree with Chad and Sara. It tasted more like a finished bourbon, than a double barrel. I have had the WR Double Oaked and the Double Double Oaked. Totally different, with both WRs being better. 1920 still rules in the series.
Great uncorking! You guys mentioned curaçao finished bourbon. Have you tried this year’s Parker’s Heritage? I just picked up a bottle, but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet.
Andre Vidal Kaufman I just uncorked my bottle of 1910. I agree with Chad and Sara. It tasted more like a finished bourbon, than a double barrel. I have had the WR Double Oaked and the Double Double Oaked. Totally different, with both WRs being better.
Agreed with beckerm13. Also, we think the WR double oaked is more savory tasting. Very time we have it I want a BBQ sandwich afterwords for some reason.
Thanks for the reply yall. I loved the WR double oaked when I tried it, haven't had any of the old foresters though. I'm guessing the best ones are the 1920 and Birthday bourbons?
Hi, Guys, I'm sipping on some 1910 while watching the CATS - very nice (the CATS and the 1910) - I taste the coffee and the dark cherry/fruit. I hear that the 1920 is OF Birthday only 2-3 years younger - same exact juice. Can you confirm?
This video is maybe my first clue as to Chad and Sara's taste preferences and it doesn't look like it lines up with mine. But really, I've only just realized I might be a sweet bourbon guy.
Chad obviously has a busted taster, is misinformed, and should not be trusted. Sara has the superior palate, and rightly ranked this amazing bottle as an obvious thumbs up. Like so many other people here, I think the 1910 is the best of the Whiskey Row series and is an absolute buy anytime I find it on the shelf. A swing and big miss Chad - better luck next time.
Fast forward 4 years and this bourbon is one of the highest talked about bourbons of all time!
This is one of those bourbons that nobody dislikes, even if you’re not a fan of double-oaked finishes.

1910 by far is my favorite out of the line up. The caramel is heavy and the vanilla lingers.
I loved this whisky very balanced and just flat out enjoyable. After a round of golf on the patio this is a great way to chill out and relax
I absolutely love this whiskey. It is very sweet but the smoke at the end is so nice
1910 + 1920 = an amazing blend of the two and shall be named 1915. Highly recommend

This stuff is fantastic. Its the only thing that has rivaled my personal favorite the woodford double oaked
1910 is my favorite out of the collection
Mine too. Always remember the best whiskey is the one you like. I've got caught up in trying to like something because it was more expensive or the majority liked it more.
I like the 1910 better than ‘20. And that’s not easy to do.
and you are right
Gonna open this tonight!!!
The 1910 sucks! (I only say that because I love it and it has limited availability and I want to own all of it!)
I actually think I may like the new 1910 the best out of all of the Whiskey Row series. I haven’t done a side by side against the 1920 yet, but after my first pour of 1910, I am impressed. I do agree that it does taste more like a finished bourbon than the WR double oak, but I like both.
Which do you prefer now my friend?

Thanks so much for the bonus episode! Not generally a fan of finished bourbons but the coffee notes intrigue me so I'll give it a try
Bought a bottle this past Friday, but have not uncorked yet. Really enjoyed the Whisky Row Series so far, with the 1920 being my favorite of the previous three.
Still can’t beat the 1920....it’s a roller coaster of rich delicious bourbon
Awesome job Chad and Sara! 1920 is still my favorite in the series.
100%
Can't wait to try this, love old fo, and the 1920 is my favorite.
Sipping some now. It's great. Going to get a few backups to age for later.
Those tasting notes sound amazing. Coffee and fruit. Yes please
The 1910 def my fav out of the series
Banana and vanilla on the nose; taste is all coffee and chocolate imo.
Not as good as 1920, but definitely worth grabbing.
Awesome content! When I want info from a good authority on bourban, I come here.
Thanks, Thomas!
The only bourbon review duo worth watching
First video I ever watched from you folks. Great quality.
Initial impression is you folks interrupt each other a lot. Maybe that’s part of the vibes/fun on this channel, but that’s my first observation.
Thanks! Yep, just normal husband and wife banter.
Great review guys! I just got this bottle today for my birthday. Can't wait to set down and enjoy a dram.
Thank you for the honest review!...........cheers!
This is one of my favorites.
Haven't seen this in town yet. The 1920 is great stuff and pretty easy to find. Gonna try a glass tonight.
I get a hint of apricot on it- like charred fruit tree- it’s wonderful.
Bought a 1910 last week. America’s taste buds have spoken and are divided. I’m not a fan of finished bourbon’s but I hope my taste bud’s are fashioned more like Sara’s. I want to like this bourbon.
Woohoo, nice. I can't wait for my sample from The Mash & Drum!
I haven't had any of the whisky row series. Might get the whole line for myself for Christmas! This review intrigued me!
Brad Henderson Get the series. 1-3 are very good, with the 1920 being the best. I just uncorked my 1910 and agree with Chad and Sara’s review. More of a finished bourbon, than a double barrel.
Great review. I will put on the list. Thanks for yall honest review. I love 1920 it is the best one out of the three that I have tried. Cheers
1910 is great!
I like the conflict, more informational! ;) I’m still going to get it, but I agree 1920 is my favorite thus far.
I can not wait to try this bourbon awesome review as always guys.
Dat post credits scene doe. :-) Love it!
I love love love love the 1910
Great review - can't wait to try this - love the 1920 but difficult to find in my area
Wonder how this compares to Woodford Double Oak, especially being that Woodford and Old Forester have a very similar mash bill
1910 is still my fave
This guy is out of his mind in opinion. 0F 1910 is outstanding.👌
Hey, to each their own. I bet I love something that you don't like, too. :)
@@ItsBourbonNight you are probably right. Cheers buddy.🥃👍🏻
Would love to see 1910 stepped up to 100 - 110 ish proof. Because this is a great bottle at 93. It needs to be turned up to 11 !
Got a bottle... love it
one of my favs
Was literally bout to ask for this one on the last video I watched
Ok, flight fight with the Whisky Row upcoming? 😉
That wouldn't be a fair fight!
lol, spoiler... 1920 wins
I liked them both.... but I'm an OLD F fan... right now I"m drinking the 1910.... nice review it's good to see you don't agree on everything :-)
I’d love to see a head to head of ‘this’ bottle (if it’s still open and full) with a current day 1910. With the first release the story of the fire was on the bottle, and now its a different set of smoke mirrors on the labels, with a noticeable difference in flavors.
Interesting, we hadn't heard that!
This actually sounds like my kind of Bourbon.
Personally, I don't know where they get the coffee thing. I get almost straight up chocolate cherries in the face.
It's fecking delicious.
@@booberry6715 I got vanilla coffee and barrel spice.
I've got Old Forester 1870, 1920, and Statesman, all unopened. Still need to add Old Forester Bottled In Bond and Single Barrel to the collection.
drink and enjoy don't collect...
@@WoodshavenPatriot I'll do what I want. 🖕
BloodySawBlade oh ok. Have fun lol.
Most liquor stores in US have those bottles unopened as well...

@@johnbelushi8719 expanding my knowledge and appreciation of various bourbons. 👍🇺🇸
I’m with you guys. Lower proof and less age. I feel they took advantage of their prior bottles success. But... but... lol I still want it 🤗
I thought for sure your B-roll would be:
Sara: That’s really in there (cork)
Chad: That’s what she said (removed content 10:30)
Nice review. Would be interested in seeing you two do a side by side tasting with Woodford Reserve double oak during your next live show. They sound like they are both produced in a similar way by the same master distiller. Cheers
1920 is quite a bit better but I’m happy to have a bottle of this on my shelf.
I just uncorked my bottle of 1910. I agree with Chad and Sara. It tasted more like a finished bourbon, than a double barrel. I have had the WR Double Oaked and the Double Double Oaked. Totally different, with both WRs being better. 1920 still rules in the series.
Agreed!
Just picked up 2 bottles
Just picked up the 1920 for $49 here in Chicago!
I liked it! I agreed with Sara! Yes Coffee!
My favorite
If you don't like the 1910, your palate is chit :) My first time watching. Sara has a good nose. It's good to hear differing opinions though..
1920 for me
I can't believe y'all didn't blend up a 1915, you had the bottles and the glasses???
Good G-d, how many dates do these people put out? I thought I had the whole collection.
This is the last one! haha
Have you guys done a review on Boone County 12 year yet?
Haven't done a review but we LOVE it!
Great uncorking! You guys mentioned curaçao finished bourbon. Have you tried this year’s Parker’s Heritage? I just picked up a bottle, but I haven’t had a chance to try it yet.
Thanks! And no, not yet, but we hope to!
I’d be happy to send you guys a sample when I crack mine open if you’d like.
Great review!
How does it compare to the Woodford Reserve double oaked?
Andre Vidal Kaufman I just uncorked my bottle of 1910. I agree with Chad and Sara. It tasted more like a finished bourbon, than a double barrel. I have had the WR Double Oaked and the Double Double Oaked. Totally different, with both WRs being better.

Have you done a whiskey flight with the 4 bottles yet?
BTW your beard looks much much better trimmed!
Makes me want all these. Great episode!
Where’s your knife Chad? Lol
I always forget it, haha.

YES
Comparing the 1910 to the 1920 which do you like better and why??
This video is maybe my first clue as to Chad and Sara's taste preferences and it doesn't look like it lines up with mine. But really, I've only just realized I might be a sweet bourbon guy.
is 1910 more expensive than woodford double oaked in Kentucky?
People need to stop fixating on ABV as a sign of value.
Having 1910 with a cigar and this is bliss.
@@RecklessFables - great minds think alike. Having a great cigar with 1920 is my jam. I'm curious to see how 1910 pairs with a choice cigar.
What Bourbon do you measure all other bourbon's against in your mind?
The 1920 is the only one I’ve had so far and it’s delicious. But it will sneak up on you at 115 proof.
Wow is this a bonus episode this week!?!?
The BoomPow of fruitiness! aaaaand BOOM goes the fruitiness!
10:28 That's what she said :-D
Btw LiquorHound really liked this bottle
If I remember correctly, he actually preferred the 1910 to the 1920.
Carmel Vanilla and banana explosion
Peeling the plastic on the old forester bottle is always a pain
Marry 1910 and 1920 for a wonderful bacon maple oak syrup dram.
LBS drinking game idea... Take a drink whenever C&S say your last name. Night night John ☕. 😂
Long live 1920...

Crap!! Brought a bottle of this home from Kentucky but im getting over a cold and dont want to open it yet.
Here in NE Ohio, anyway, the 1920 is FAR more available than the 1910.
I here 1910 gets better if it sits and gets a little air.
Are there any peated burbouns?
Coffee ice cream
sweet n little chocolate
1920 is the one...but sshhhh. Don't want everyone buying it!!
Stainless steel wasn't invented until 1913, so in 1910 the tanks would definitely not have been stainless.
I taste a hint of marshmallow
👍
Is it ok that I love Sara more than the bourbon?
My bottle smells like banana bread
