People need to stop with the "Alhaitham is the most smart" all of them went to the akademiya, cyno is the highest ranking law enforcement, Tighnari is teaching everyone things from the akademiya but they can't jail him or the entire forest rangers will collapse, and kaveh is a star architect
Alhaitham actually seems to play quite differently from Keqing.
Their kits only seems similar at face value.
Yes that's true. I hope everyone shock when they realize he has 3 source of infusion, but need some thinkimg because of long cd. This puzzling playstyle fit his character, I love it.
his burst is actually similar to the mirror maiden not keqing, but yeah similar kit but there should be more to it

@@briskits91 not even similar enough tbh, the only similarities are these: Infusion + sword and E a bit similar but still different as Keqing’s require’s you to click twice to tp(so she’s better for exploration imo than blinking /neutral) and haitham’s is much more like a rush attack than TP.

I agree, I joked about it earlier myself, but he actually seems to play very smoothly and fast-paced, which is my main problem with Keqing (also I just don't like purple and her personality this much, but I warm up to characters if their gameplay is fun). Playing Keqing feels so... dry? Like you're hacking away at a dinosaur with a cattle prod. Wrong buttons and the wrong time and you'll be flying around with your skill, burst, and charged knockback.

His name reminds me of an Egyptian scholar named Abu Ali al Hasan ibn al-Haytham "the father of modern optics". This is why Alhaitham has a combat mechanic involving mirrors.

@@MrsFoolforlove It’s true since his name is Alhaitham instead of Haitham which would make more sense. Alhaitham means “The Haitham” and Haitham means hawk if i’m not wrong

@@dirkstrickland135 No the prefix/word "Al" is mainly for describing objects or titles such as "THE Grand Sage" or "THE Honorary knight".
But in the past many names would be something like "Ahmed ibn Alhaitham" which means Ahmed son (ibn) of Haitham. I'm not sure why names were like that exactly but I believe the same naming system was used for the inspiration of Tighnari's name who was named after an Arabian Botonist named AlTighnari which means in this case "from the town/city (idk) Tighnar"
Arabic is a deep language and many words can change meaning or use just based on the context so what i'm saying isnt 100% accurate nor gonna work all the time.
edit: for Tighnari it's like saying someone's from somewhere "Dori the sumerian" "Jean the mondstadter" "Zhongli of Liyue" "Ayato the inazuman" etc etc but in this case it's just "The Tighnarian" which in arabic is pronounced tighnari ( Ti (opposite of "It") gh (Sound of gargaling water kinda) na (pronounced with a big sigh like "Nah") ri (REEEEEEEEEEEEEE). hopefully I didnt jumble shit up in your brain
I'm late at this but yeah, genshin has good reference in their character, Al Haitham is refered to the father of optic, one of the reason his kit is similar to optic, also Tighnari is refered to Al-Tighnari, the father of botany and an adventurer doctor, even Candace is refered to the egyptian warrior queen. I have to say they did the great job, not making fiction but has a reference to it :D
The moment he turned and it transitioned into that sort of character card, I knew my wallet was in trouble. lol

i really appreciate the fact that hoyoverse is experimenting with character demos by adding other characters and making things more fluid. sumeru demos have also been very different from previous character demos. but in a great way, of course!
I am a big fan of smart characters. And Alhaitham is up there in intelligence which is why I am a big fan of his character

Kaveh seems like another pretty husbando in Genshin but I actually how different his personality is compared to the other husbandos. He seems well-crafted, like a character I would expect to meet in real life. Looking forward to his release too. But for now, please come home Daddeh Alhaitham. I'll only allow losing the 50/50 for my other dendro husbando, Tighnari. 😍💚💚
So how did it go with your pulls? I lost my 50/50 to mr. Ayato but got Thighnari which was also nice and daddy Alhaitham afterwards so now I have 2 dendro husbandos all of a sudden 🤗💚can't complain tho but I really wanted ayato too and it's crazy how they made me fangirl over guys in this game and I'm a guy but they're just so good

By the way, of note... Alhaitham is based on a true person from Iraq history. If you read about it you will get alot more depth to his character. 😊 Look up Al-Hasan Ibn al-Haytham and read it. Very enlightening.

I am tired people call him dendro keqing. At least childe has cd management, so he's similar to how puzzling but fun his playstyle will be. Also the dual wielding part ofc, except he kicks sword twice.

@@arahaitham123 Keqing not even close to Alhaitham actually. Aside from not having a stacking mechanic like our dual-wielding scholar, Keqing's infusion *can be overridden by C6 Bennett while Alhaitham's infusion cannot be overridden (which is better).*

I love how natural is the conversation between them and I agree about music, generally I think this is the best character demo so far. I am f2p I just can go one 75 wishes, I truly hope I will win my 50/50
He is canonically not fond of socialising much so he let three characters introduce him by themselves without lifting a finger just like a boss. This demo presentation really does fits his character. No self-dialogue.
The way the man fights just by kicking his sword at enemies is so extra and I love it
I love that Alhaithams "flashy fight move" in his demo is actually only a few seconds long. Its one quick, confident strike that deals with it instantly. So hes not just talking shit, he found the weakness and dealt with it easily

I knew I'd fall in love with Al-haithams demo since he's by far my favorite playable character. Hoyo did not disappoint at all. I absolutely loved it. Seeing the boys all hanging out was something I didn't realize I needed more of.
One thing about recent PV is HoYo getting better is the camera angle and movement, e.g. when to do a one shot, when add a closeup, what angle and speed etc. This added a lot to already good storyboard and music
That beat drop is sooo techno it makes me wanna rewatch the demo too, man! I cant wait to pull for him to meet his Electro counterpart (Kequing if you didnt get the joke~)

Joking aside, his demo was super enjoyable and seeing those four get to interact was soo fun. Seeing characters actually interact with one another outside of quests is so intriguing! The transitions were so fun and this may be my most favorite 5 star demo so far!
I lost Itto to Qiqi for the third time. I felt very sad but when I saw Al-haithm. I was like ohhhh baby u r coming home for sure.
This trailer was awesome ! The interaction between the characters, the music and his fighting style is great. I don't care if it is similar to another character's movements, he deserves all my primos XD

I've waited for his release since the Sumeru trailer but after sometime I thought I'll wait for his rerun when I got to know he is more or less the same as Keqing but after watching his character teaser and character demo, I'm sold on him and I'm gonna pull for him even if I'm not guaranteed (but I'm close to get a 5 star tho)

✨ I absolutely loved the trailer, i was gonna pull for him to perhaps loose the 50/50 and get tighnari (bc i want him) but now i need to have him. i liked his character a lot, found him sort of strange at the start, but at the same time, i liked the way he thought. Idc if he is a “dendro keqing” i will have him anyway.
Now about the trailer, i was fan girling so much for seeing cyno and tighnari interact, and kaveh just made it better, everything about this trailer is great, the music is so nice! I actually was gonna look for it later ✨
