Hello Dave, I am commenting here in hopes you will see it! I need direction to a good polishing wheel, all I seem to find are cheap lightweight ones. Could you provide a link to a good one? I’d prefer a single wheel machine. THANKYOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP
A confusing question, Are looking for just a wheel or a polishing machine? Plus I don't know where you are, so can't recommend any specific links. But FYI.....
I use a bench grinder, just a very cheap model. I removed one of the grindstones and fitted a "Pigtail" adapter which has the long tapered screw (like a Pigs Curly tail). This allows me to use standard 4" X 1" mops on the bench grinder. I kept the grindstone on the other end as it's useful for tool sharpening. As for mops, I use a hard cotton Calico 'stitched' mop, for heavy polishing (like tools and hammers) using Menzerna Blue polish. I use a loose unstitched cotton mop, again with Menzerna blue as a pre polish for silver, then a very fine loose soft cotton mop (called swansdown) with Menzerna yellow for a final polish on silver and gold. Dave
