Bellringing at Stafford - the Hanley ten

The back ten of the 'new' twelve at St Mary, Stafford. These bells were originally at St John the Evangelist, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent but were finally transferred here after the closure of that church. They were cast in 1923 by Gillett & Johnston of Croydon. The tenor is 18-1-1 in E. With the new Westley trebles they make a lovely light twelve, hung by Nicholson Engineering of Bridport. Great job all round and a huge improvement on the old ring of ten. Shrewsbury ringers ringing Stedman Caters.
