I found out bec I got an angry message on fb that I owed some guy money. I felt so bad for him but he knows now. I work in a store where we sell gift cards. An older man came in and asked to buy some gift cards and proudly showed me pictures of his young girlfriend in the military whom he was buying them for. I swear they were images from one of these profiles, might have been the same woman's image. I tried to gently warn him but he wasn't hearing it. We get older ladies do this too. We warn everybody.

I don't. Yet I don't understand how the United States Government is in to everything but helping its own citizens! My sister works at a major big bank and told me 75% of scams come from Nigeria! She told me a story about someone scamming them back, and they killed him! Our government is too busy throwing it's own citizens in jail, then taking care of the real issues that affect them in everyday living! Our law enforcement will spend millions researching ,surveillance, stalking sometimes up to five years! To see if a crime is being committed. Yet won't do a thing in helping citizens that are scammed by these monsters because they say it's too much money! We all pay for it in the long run! Absolutely disgusting!

It's because of cognitive dissonance. It's easier and more comfortable to go in deeper regardless of cost, rather than face up to the fact you've been a complete idiot and have already lost a ton of money and it's entirely your own fault.

I work in a store where we sell gift cards. An older man came in and asked to buy some gift cards and proudly showed me pictures of his young girlfriend in the military whom he was buying them for. I swear they were images from one of these profiles, might have been the same woman's image. I tried to gently warn him but he wasn't hearing it. We get older ladies do this too. We warn everybody.

Every Wednesday is a new person completely ruining their own life for a catfish. It's sad and heartbreaking to watch most of these people get über duped by scammers but the mentality of most is the same: not living in reality, not believing anyone who tells them they're being scammed, bankrupting themselves, etc. Red flags will be furiously waving in their faces and they just smile and keep sending large quantities of money.
