@rochacj85 Shaq would not stop Jokic lol, he'd score a lot on him, but Shaw was never a lock-down defender, especially once he got super big.
People just want to assume everyone who can't cover Jokic is trash, because they don't wanna give Jokic credit.
A few days ago, we were questioning Jokic's legacy and thinking last year's run was a fluke. Suddenly, Jokic and Nuggets are unstoppable?? The swings in NBA are wild.

The Mavs are definitely second hardest matchup for the Nuggets, backcourt power is insane. It sucks that Luka is hurt, but I hope it will be a nice series (I’m a Denver fan btw)

I’m a long time Larry bird guy and from Tennessee growing up we had no team so I been Celtics my whole life but I moved to Denver in 2018
Now I’m torn cause I’m with you all year I said Denver Boston Finals

@@alainp1500they are good friends. I have no doubt he would buy into the system. He would be far more effective than Murray because of his size and shooting ability. He is proving he can play with another passing all star with Kyrie so the only obstacle would be Murray wanting to stay there and Denver being willing to shakeup such a great team with a superstar instead of a great player. Also the money….Iv’e seen some of the most knowledgeable analysts predicting Luka’s next contract will be bigger than Brown’s record contract. Tough to do with Jokic at that same pay level unless they both take less to play together.

Remember the Nuggets were delayed one year by Murray’s injury and MPJ back surgery . They were ready to win it that year 20-21 . AG arrived and then the injury to Jamal happened . They had some good complementary players then as well

Mike put a Highlight Reel together of all the Pundits doubting the Nuggets after Game 2/He pressured the Refs into calling this Series differently & not allowing the Wolves to be as Physical/He made some Off & Def Adjustments after Game 2 that MIN has not yet found counters for.
It’s ironic too cuz both Pop and Malone both get very animated lol. Hopefully we get to see the two battle against eachother in playoffs once Spurs get into contention again plus a prime Wemby vs Jokic 7 game series would be crazy.
I have to disagree. I respect both Pop and Malone but the most valuable piece of their teams are still Tim Duncan and Jokic. Those coaches are obviously great and proved themselves but aren't difference makers.

I think it would be easier to replace Jamal Murray than Aaron Gordon. He is just a physical freak, he was a mismatch physically for LeBron (old but still Balco). You can get a streaky injury prone shooting guard. They could of just kept Donovan Mitchell.

@@nickjones809which is true but that's the 3point variation when games get more physical, legs get tired more, the emphasis on the shot becomes less and 3 point shot stops falling and that's the weakness of Boston.

People are missing that Dallas has had the #1 ranked defense since their trades. Nuggets aren’t even a lock to get to the finals.
Nuggets are more talented. A good defense is no match for a better offense. I say the wolves will be their biggest competitor this playoffs

I think the DPoY often "suffers" of the same issue of the MVP. No one is voting MVP the best player of a losing team. The same way it's hard to vote, for example, for Wemby as DPoY when SAS is a lottery team. That said, you can't contest better than he did in game 5. Jokic is just a monster... 😂

Can we slow down. Yeah Vegas says it’s -160 that we see BOS vs DEN. But the Mavs and Knicks are still gonna be there not like they have a zero percent chance. NYK probably so but if we get the Luka we saw last night for a full series I don’t see why DAL couldn’t upset DEN
Den/Mavs would be so interesting because that one player that can do what Jokic does in terms of score and also can impact the game by his passing is Luka. Dallas also has the secondary player like Denver does that can be your best player on the floor at times and that’s Kyrie who is actually better than Jamal. Jokic ofcourse will be a problem cuz he’s so good but Dallas has two great defensive athletic bigs who will bang with him and both teams are great defensively. Anybody that think Denver is gonna just role through and easily beat this current version of the Mavs is CRAZY AS HELL.
Mavs have good defense too but they are a bit hobbled with Luka not being 100% though the last game he had a triple double but I still think he isnt back to full health and Kleber is out - he allows the Mavs to be more dynamic in defense and offense so I don't think the Mavs will win. But it will be a good test for the Mavs to see where they are at. Mavs can push them to 6 games.

Mavs have the best shot at Denver. And it’s pretty slim.
i picked okc to win in 6. i didnt believe in the criticisms that they were too young n small. i thought they were ready. in retrospect i think shai was ready. and chet was ready defensively. offensively chet is a little too skinny to pressure the rim consistently on rolls and driving closeouts. the rest of the roster is too young n doesnt have enough reps
i havent given up on them winning the series tho. they are known for comebacks. i think theyre mentally tough enough to do that. n if shai keeps doing what hes doing and they get hot from 3 they can def still win this series
You hit on a point I constantly make to people. You have to beat Denver by outscoring them. If you are a great defensive team or are hugely invested in a single defensive monster type of player, then Denver is your worst matchup because their offense is not affected by any defense. Boston is 100% going to be the toughest opponent for Denver. Even Mavs I think have a better chance if Luka is healthy than say Twolves or Lakers. That said Denver should be the big favorite in WCF and slight favorite in the finals.
Make Jokic beat you every game with scoring and ware him down. That's the best way I think.
Empire strikes back - just the best movie of the franchise. Thing is this is the only SW movie on every top 50 or top 100 movies list. That being said it is also superior in every way to other movies. Camera, character arc, whatever metric you want to use.
