I haven’t listened to nearly as much as I wanted to this year. Marianas trench are my favorite act of like, ever, so Phantoms is my number one of this year. Aside from MT, Carly Rae Jepsen’s record slapped pretty hard, She from Dodie’s EP is one if my favorite songs, and Like a Girl by Lizzo May be one of the bets bops ever. Shura is also dropping a record soon. If the whole album is like religion (u can lay your hands on me) it’ll be fantastic.

You definitely need to check out Slow Mass if you want to dip your toes into more post-hardcore. They were actually an opener for La Dispute on their tour if that gives them more credibility
This Was Supposed to Be Fun and Wiaca would be on my list too. My AOTY without question is Suldusk's debut, Lunar Falls. It's dark folk with atmospheric black metal moments, and it's incredibly beautiful. I think you would like it.

You definitely need to check out Slow Mass if you want to dip your toes into more post-hardcore. They were actually an opener for La Dispute on their tour if that gives them more credibility
This Was Supposed to Be Fun and Wiaca would be on my list too. My AOTY without question is Suldusk's debut, Lunar Falls. It's dark folk with atmospheric black metal moments, and it's incredibly beautiful. I think you would like it.
