If not for Sir Peter Mansfield and his development of the MRI, I would not be writing this. Many thanks to the memory of Sire Peter Mansfield.

I randomly saw a short clip on facebook and now im here. This is a phenomenal discovery in science and it was his confidence and intelligence that saved lives. But one key point he says, he didn’t do it to saves lives, saving lives became the by product - but his focus was getting the calculations right

As a patient who has had many MRI scans at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottiningham since I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in April 2018, the last scan being in Novemember 2023. I thank him very very much. But can appriciate where talks about for many others knowing what is wrong can be bad, not good.

Great man, love this guy. Studying MRI just because it is mathematically interesting technology developed within my lifetime, Peter Mansfield did more technical heavy lifting for MRI than anybody and is full value for the Nobel win.

I seem to recall seeing lots on here from Nottingham University. It does seem to be at the cutting edge of a number of academic disciplines.
