I just made the cake yesterday and it tastes delicioussss!! I did not make the curd along and to make it taste like lemon i squeezed the juice of about half a lemon. Its worth a try😇

I had the same problem ,but then I realized that for the eggs to double in volume I have to beat the eggs alone at first then add sugar
