But there is also some amount of metal style distorted electric guitar in the background? (and later drums). It would have been different without the guitar and drums - the combination is still amazing!
I just love the passion the cello player put into this. I could swear the cello sounded like singing "I am the man who walks alone" when the bow first hit the strings. She really took this song to a new level. Thumbs up!
I just found this magnificent cover, but sadly apparently all activity on this channel stopped after just three videos 6 years ago. Such a shame, would have loved to hear more.

Didn't think I would say that, but the song sounds better on the cello than on the electric guitar. You did an excellent job. great technique and skill. Nightwish Elan cover also sounds great, I prefer the acoustic version.

Can somebody help me? I just bought a 5-string electric cello and it seems to be tuned a whole octave lower than what a cello is supposed to be. I measured the scale length and it’s 27.4 and I bought new strings to make sure they were correct for a 4/4 cello. But even with the high E string I can’t seem to play along with tutorials on RUclips because I’m obviously an octave too low (a tuner app confirms this as well. So you’d think I could just tune the strings up... I tried this even though the tension seemed like a lot and sure enough I broke two of them. And cello strings are not cheap.
I’m really frustrated and at a loss because I’ve built my own cigar box guitars and thought I had a good understanding of the physics at work here. But I really don’t know what’s going on with this thing.

This makes me fucking cry so beautiful and I almost never cry... I was looking for modern masters who can compose like the old ones ( Mozart Vivaldi etc.) without dissonant sounds like modern classical music.. As far as I am told they do not exist music peaces like that, but hey I found 'm this is a most beautiful peace of music without any dissonant sounds performed very professionally not one wrong or false note... I like it very much I listened a lot of hardrock and such to... this has all the property's of a good very heavy classical peace of music this woman and groups like apocalyptically are the Modern Mozart masters, I rarely heard anything more beautiful and deep than this... Keep on playing lady... You're doing it so very well and I envy your skills I wish I could play an instrument to but I cannot expect to ever reach your level... thanks for sharing this with the world... you just made my day a very good day...

Really good! I'm thinking about learning how to play cello. I'm 28 so I'm a *bit* late haha, but I'm not looking to be a pro like you. I already play bass, piano and guitar. Now I want to learn something totally different and seeing your video really gets me thinking about cello :)
