  • The Print Project is a letterpress printing business in Shipley, West Yorkshire that's finding new ways to use centuries-old technology. Exploring pattern, form and colour through typography, laser-cut shapes and found objects, Nick creates sought after poster editions, print and design for commercial clients, as well passing down his knowledge through workshops across the UK.
Try letterpress printing for yourself at The Hepworth Wakefield Print Fair as The Print Project will be running sessions on Saturday 21 March 2015.

What draws me into letterpress is the intricacy of type and ornament. Overprinting shapes and creating large posters is okay but the small stuff is what does it for me. At times, I work to the edge of my patience to make sure alignment is right for two or more colors. Other times, it's a zen experience. A personal choice for sure. I do all my work on a 8x12 Chandler & Price.
