A derecho is a line of intense, fast-moving thunderstorms that typically produce hurricane-force wind gusts of 75 mph or greater. In rare instances, derechos can produce winds over 100 mph. They are nicknamed “land hurricanes” because of the intense wind speeds they often produce.
I actually enjoy watching a person, if I wanted to see weather maps alone I’d just Google them lol. Maybe a green screen would help it feel less distracting.
It personalizes the channel, which is why I watch this channel religiously: one can tell Hunter is sincere in caring enough to bring us detailed weather.
Thank you for your coverage! I made a comment last week about being worried for this past Sunday. We ended up having an ef1 tornado here in Carlyle Illinois and it was only half mile away. We got hit with some 135 mph gusts. It was a very wild experience! This year has been crazy for weather here. Never had such bad weather!

Severe weather is more favored during June and July across the Upper Midwest. I’ll keep you updated.
