The reason is because of the fact that if you have a beautiful voice and sing EVERY SINCE SHOW you would mess your voice up. So its best for a singer to not sing every time they perform. Leona has a beautiful and if I was in her position I wouldn't mess my voice up either!!!

It's the same with a sports pro's.You wouldn't say that a football player shouldn't play every game of the season because he might injure himself. But you might say he shouldn't play a game every single day and put 110% effort in every time. So, rather than just not sing at all, they can just sing less often, and/or slightly different versions that don't have the parts that strain their voices. Here's the thing though,.....Leona loves to sing live, in fact she's done things live that no other artist would do. She sang live for the whole of her Labyrinth tour (weeks of shows, that lasted for hours, with her doing her vocal gymnastics right though every time) which was extremely hard to do (and probably part of the reason it only lasted weeks and didn't go around the world, like it was originally planned!). In the DVD of the performance at the O2 in London, you can hear her starting to lose her voice a bit at the end and then holding back on the last 2 songs. Unfortunately, the Labyrinth was a once in a lifetime thing. She doesn't sing in such a technically difficult, voice straining way on tour, any more, and certainly no other artist does (or would even if they could). My point of mentioning the tour is that this video was posted waaaaay before the tour (which was in 2010) when Leona was still pushing the boundaries with singing live, and this song doesn't even strain her vocal chords like some of her other songs,..... SO THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHY SHE WOULDN"T BE SINGING THIS LIVE.

So, let's put this straight, once and for all. *LEONA DOESN'T LIP-SYNC*. She's one of very few artists that *lives* to sing live, even when she's feeling ill (as she's done on numerous occasions). If you listen to the 1st chorus, on the single she Sings "Oh Yeah, OhoowOh", On this version *she doesn't*, she just sings "Oh Yeah", and I'm sure there's other subtle differences as well (can't be bothered to go through the whole song). Jeeez people, *if she sang every version completely differently she'd be criticized for not being able to sound like the record. What do you want next from her - blood ??????*

It doesn't take long into the track to notice that, so why don't YOU just play the 1st chorus on the video and then on the CD and you'll notice that at 1:24 there's an "OhoowOh" missing on the video that is on the CD as I explained in my post. Or try Aeletin'a's suggestion, but overlaying the CD on the video is not a good idea because you can't here the subtle differences in isolation. So you're right about one thing THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DISCUSSION HERE.
