There are no excuses because as bad as the Cardinals are, they fully exposed weaknesses of the Cowboys have had for a long time. Offensively, no one scares the Dallas rushing offense. As good as Pollard is, they haven’t had a power running back that can break tackles, fall forward and get that short yardage first down or touchdown in decades. Even in their first two game blowouts of the Jets and Giants, they kicked a lot of field goals, but scored two goal line touchdowns with passes to tight ends. No one fears their running game, which allows teams to allow their linebackers to play in the flats for short passes, and the safeties to cover the deep zones. Defensively, this team hasn’t stopped the rush since Leon Lett was playing DT. The Giants and Jets showed severe weaknesses in their coaching decisions when they both chose to abandon the running game against this team. The only sustained drive the Giants had was on their initial one when they drove the length of the field with a strong running game. Then, a bad snapped, blocked field goal attempt run back, a three and out followed by a dropped pass tipped into a pick six, and the Giants gave up the run. The Cards ran for 7.4 yards per carry for more than 200 yards. With that defense and Dak unable to make things happen near opposing goal lines, the outlook for the rest of the season is not a very good one for this team.
So 3 of our starting linemen out 15 penalties and our number 1 CB our for year and yeh “no excuses” u can miss me with that 😂
