A nice balanced interview with Joyce Cooling, open & honest. NAMI is really addressing a huge issue - that of supporting the families who support the member who has mental illness. We have the same issues in the UK where families can feel lost in not knowing how to care for their loved ones undergoing a traumatic event, which could include mental illness, not just an event, but lifelong. Familiesintrauma uk have started to address this and are starting to get support from the National Health system leaders. Sort of funny that Joyce Cooling is leading this, because she is making the "Not-cool" to talk about family members with mental illness - now COOL!
I love Joyce, she is such an amazing artist. But her interviewer is a tad condecending and phony. I couldn't watchbit til the end because the interviewer made me sick to my stomach and was giving me cavaties with her saccherin sweet disposition. Ick. Love, love, love Joyce tho!!!
