The train itself is actually a mixed traffic train, which has both passenger and freight, this was common for branch lines, or short railroad lines, which did not need a lot of passenger cars, or freight cars. I do like how everyone else except lego is doing a better job at trains, and is actually making them look good, and not toy-like. I don't have the set itself, but from what i have seen here, if FunWhole were to do the Big Boy, or The Canadian, which were both rejected Lego Ideas sets, then i would become a loyal customer to FunWhole, at least for train related sets
That’s really interesting to hear, so it kind of makes sense all having a small number of carriages! Have looked up the trains you mentioned, and they look brilliant! Would love to see some more vehicles/trains from FunWhole
@@YellowBrickPics yeah, i wish they would do something like the Union Pacific M-10000, or CB&Q Pioneer Zephyr, that would be great for fans of older trains
Looks great man! I have a medieval funwhole set here I need to build. Great work in the edit also. Felt casual but well informed and also nicely detailed *also liked the western music set the tone nicely
It was a great set to build and review. Let me know how you get on with the medieval set, I’ve seen some of them but not built any myself! Really appreciate the feedback on the video too, means a lot! - had to go with western music for this one 🤠
Funwhole's minifigures are kinda weak, but I'm still glad they're there. I personally love their medieval line. I'm halfway through building the tower, and have built the training ground. Both are very fun builds. I use them to supplement my lego medieval sets
There's nothing stopping them from making add on passenger cars for the set. If FunWhole do that they will make bank! There are a ton a brick model railroaders out there if they Corner the market they be set for life
Can't wait to buy his set 😊
This set looks like a must have 😍 great review! Loved the back story too. Adding to the Christmas list 🎉
What a fun build. I just picked up the Sheriff Station so this is definitely on my radar.
It’s a great build in my opinion! I’ve got my eye on the sheriff set as well!
You do the best reviews on funwhole. Keep it up. I am always weary of buying lego competitors, but they look greag

Thanks a bunch for this thorough review. I appreciate it.
Thank you so much glad you found it useful!!
Great review. Loved the film and it looks a super product!
Thank you! Had great fun making the short film within the review
Great Video Ethan! They produce some great looking sets
Thanks mate! Had fun creating this video and reviewing the set. FunWhole have definitely stepped it up recently!

Using green technic gears as cacti was really clever.
Agreed! Was very impressed with the results
Great video
Thank you so much!
The details and printed pieces! Why don’t I own this brand yet? 🤣
I tried to show all the details, hopefully got all the printed parts! You’ll have to jump on aboard and try one out!

great review dude ;)
Thanks man, appreciate it!
This looks amazing. The question is how hard it would be to motorize.
Based on the design, one option could be to store a motor within the engine room, or possibly in the coal pile. It would be fairly tight though!
Good train 😉
It really is and would love to extend it as well!
They should make an add-on pack for this, to add more cars to the train
Would be great to extend the train, totally agree with you here!
@@YellowBrickPics Honestly, i would 100% buy this set if they had both a freight car pack and a passenger car pack, for the most fun and customization
This set looks fantastic, but why can't I find it on their website? has it not released yet?
Have been told they’re aiming for an official release on Sept 2nd, but it’s tbc
Looks great, so does your camera work! Though I wish you could have given a full shot where you weren't partially blocking it.
Appreciate it a lot, and will definitely take that into consideration for future reviews!
@@YellowBrickPics no problem, even with that small thing missing your production quality is great, especially for your size 👍
Thank you! Means a lot, learning more each day and excited to keep making videos

That’s a great shout, and I’m sure I’m it wouldn’t be too difficult to produce! Opens the door for more variety, different carriages for example!
Do you feel like small children can play with this set?
Or is it more of a display train?
Thanks for your review
I'd say it can be played with, but at the same time you do have to be aware of the cabling that runs through the train for lights! :)
cant wait to get this set... do we know release date?
Very soon! I’ve asked FO for confirmation and will let you know!
@@YellowBrickPics super thanks... phill :)))
@@theenyaarchive Just been told that the release date for set is expected to be Sept 2nd - still tbc based on logistics
Do you know if this train will run on LEGO track?
I think it will, although I’m double checking with FO and will let you know!
Hi, have been told that the train will run on Lego track as well!
