Spock also failed by reprimanding Saavik and deferring to Kirk's bad judgement. If he had placed logic first instead of decorum he would have allowed Saavik to continue quoting the standing order and concurred. His death at the end of the movie was the price for his error. Of course, if everything went "by the book", we wouldn't have had a movie.
@@PhoenixBird9000it was all Spock’s fault. He was Saavik’s mentor and above all executive officer and Captain until Kirk took over. Kirk was rusty and Spock should have known better. Most illogical.
Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
There were some sound effects that were not part of the music that were removed as well. the sounds of the computer for example. Otherwise, very well done.
Okay, I'm going to say something contradictory and I hope my meaning is understood lol... The music adds SO MUCH to the scene. Without the music, I felt brought into the scene, almost like I was in the room.
Thanks for sharing. The first minute was very interesting. The segment with people pressing buttons with no volume wasn't as great. The emphasis on dialogue Was great!!!
Ok. The yellow alert didn't produce the sounds so I'm guessing you took the voices from the center channel? The music does a lot. Amazing soundtrack. My favourite actually.
It is an amazing soundtrack (a key feature of the Star Trek movies throughout the franchise) and without it we lose much of the build up of tension. That being said, this is then a more realistic and quite immersive experience as this is how events would have occurred on the bridges of the 2 space ships. Also, and this is an unsolicited remark unrelated to the clip, it's a reminder that if perhaps Spock hadn't been quite so unnecessarily authoritarian with Saavik and allowed her to push her correct point to Kirk re the shields then all of the carnage that followed could have been avoided. However that would have made for a lousy short film and eliminated the need for the third film.
That WAS a surprise attack!!
That came out of nowhere.
Where was James Horner to
alert me??
Wow! Well done. I do love the amazing music in the movie!
The music is so good that it's like "I will not be silenced!"
The Admiral really seemed to need a reminder about the standard processes of Star Fleet. Got a lot of people killed there.

The admiral is well aware of the situation.
@@adamhuffman3354 The admiral has been found negligent, and will be reduced in rank to captain.
I see the alert sound got silenced too. People could have been saved had they heard the alert. 😂
It didn’t work for me. I’ve seen this scene so many times, I can hear the music perfectly in my head.
Never gonna give you up

Definitely

As I suspected, the phaser fire sounds like the sharp blades of long knives or swords, slashing across something.
Horner brought the heat.
Still a very cool scene!
Now add in hillbilly banjo chase music, and see how it plays.
Lol

Wow. So different without the brilliant music
I’d like to see this with TOS music! Think Sol Kaplan’s Doomsday Machine. Or Fred Steiner’s Corbomite Maneuver.

Cool! But the only thing missing is the background sound effects.😊

Somehow, it's still very good and adds tension!

Actually, I kind of like this quite a bit.
What AI did you use to remove the music?
Probably pays for it.
@@Anarchist86ed so what. The name of the site or app would be appreciated
@@moe47988 So go find it.
Sure. It’s called Stemify
But you gotta work with it. It strips out a lot you gotta add back in from other parts in the movie. I didn’t in this vid but I did in others.
Jesus, this is dull.
