Great breakdown. He's the perfect example of one of them fellas that you absolutely cannot look at the box score to see the effect he had on the game. His impact was in every other place that a box score won't show. Elite defense is the best thing you could ask for in today's league.
Caruso has now played 4 games/84 minutes and has only 5 points on 2-15 shooting. One of the reasons they traded Giddey for his was that he supposedly gave them better 3 point shooting. I would love to hear from those of you who supported this trade to explain exactly how this is going to work going forward with his unbelievably pathetic offense. How is that going to work in the playoffs? Meanwhile Giddey is averaging 15/8/6 in only 28 minutes per game and is shooting 59% on 3s this year. Yeah, nice trade.
I don't know who you've heard that from because everyone who's kept up with the NBA knows you don't play or sign Caruso expecting offense. You play him to lockdown the other team's best player - no matter the position or size of that player. Giddey is a very lousy defender. It don't take much to see Caruso stands in a league of his own on defense and some times when you're that good at defense, that's all a player needs to be relevant in the NBA.
@@ComedyBros5 If Giddey is a lousy defender then why did OKC go 57-25 last year and finish 1st in the west? Why did they somehow have an incredible season with him starting and playing a huge part of their success? You do understand that they pulled him from the Dallas series because he was missing 3s. Now we have Caruso who has 5 points in 4 games and is 2-15 shooting. How exactly is that going to work in the playoffs?
@@joeldriver-sp2rg I don't know. I ain't an expert, just a casual basketball fan. From what I've seen, Caruso was a good pickup but I can also see where Giddey is missed.
@@ComedyBros5 OKC already has a ton of shooting guards and Wiggins is a better overall player than Caruso so no, they didn't need him at all. He's redundant. Giddey was a huge part of why they finished 1st in the west last year and had that incredible season. You just don't ever change things when they're going that good.
@@joeldriver-sp2rg You are right. I don't understand why both them and the Wolves wanted to make any changes. The only thing both teams were lacking was experience, which they both gained in their playoff losses. I hate that when teams are great in regular season but lose in playoffs, it makes GMs feel the need to make changes and kill something that was really good already.

The Thunder are just simply unfair this year
