I love Johnny so much in this game. Like you say he's flashy, stylish, just very fun overall. I'm also a Johnny loyalist, so I'll always use him even if he gets nerfed :3
I am the same way. Even though i was not a fan of the way he played in Mk11. I still committed to him.
@@MadDoggGames yeah I also didn't like how Johnny was in mk11. Like he looked good in terms of design, but his gameplay wasn't really clicking with me. So I'm really happy with what they did with him for MK1. Like you say, it just sort of reminds me of MKX days :3

Hey you think you could do this video format? Tbh it works for you a lot, makes the experience less daunting because people really do think the youtubers never lose online. You ran into the exact same problems as everyone else, and that was more fun to watch than the end yk?
I do plan to bring this series as the main content on the channel. Its a more doable type of content for me right now since I dont have much time anymore for youtube. Just play for fun you know and then talk about my experience learning a character. I enjoyed this series from another game on RUclips so i wanted to bring this type of content to the fighting game genre.

Best thing to do is if you feel like you have to force yourself to get on don’t. Helps you not get burnt out so much also try practicing characters moves you can counter with your own and videos like these. I do wish they put more content in the game tho and less micro transactions. The isn’t perfect but it’s not terrible either

After watching this video, I don't actually think Johnny/Sektor is as bad of a team as I thought they were. Obviously it isn't optimal but they ain't actually a bad team. I wonder what the ACTUAL worst kameos to use with Johnny are. I'd kind of assume it is probably Johnny/Scorpion, or Johnny/Jax (Maybe Tremor to).
An interesting video idea for the future is to try and learn Johnnys WORST kameos and take them to online

I think you could've tried sub zero to build easy hype once they're frozen, and go for the hype combos as much as you like. I think sub zero gives less support to Johnny compared to sektor while considering combos. I remember the highest I've gone with Johnny Sub is 450, I think you touch 500 in a corner combo

I'm currently using Johnny and Sonya atm and it's not a bad combo. Considering that most of Johnny's strings are combo starting launchers, Sonya does a great job at extending it in the air than on the ground. I rarely spend the bar on his specials only for certain situations and not in the middle of a combo which is why I don't do Johnny and Kano. I practiced that combo but I would never do it in a real match as that's just too much of a hassle. Plus, I can mess up so bad going from Standing 4 to Hype Meter because I might input it incorrectly and get F4 or 44. Though I haven't done this in a match, I like doing Johnny's B2 then Hype because it gives me that time to breathe. I've done that with Sub Zero and there's even a combo challenge in Johnny's section that has you doing B2 after Jax's Close Back Break. I haven't done that same technique after Sonya's Square Wave but I will give it a shot.
johnny and janet is a dub combo imo, the mix up's and restands CARRY them, it makes johnny's lost frames not even noticeable with janet,. Even with her F4 in her the stance its a GREAT combo extender
12:15 100% thats how i feel when i go online w. actual players who know how to only block the whole time orrr obviously they love to use Guard Break , like i can never do a full combo unless they literally OPEN UP & HAVE NO BARS AT ALL

After 212 u can do jump 2 then 212 FF into f12 into bf4
Well as for me how I play with Johnny I use frost To mix up people to think I'm about to do a overhead things to completely trick them

the frame data you use in the video isnt accurate to current MK 1, some of his attacks got changed to mid and frames got slowe. (ik the recordin of the video is a bit dated :p jus wanted to point it out)

@@QU141.I don’t think Johnny Cage was broken. But Cyrax was the issue that made him stupid. He is more normalized so he isn’t considered Top 3 anymore.

It is what it is honestly. I hate changes but It could have been worse. At least Johnny still good. BUt the devs should give more buffs than nerfs.

My last day was the most recent one because I didn’t wanted to be too outdated. It’s just options so it didn’t affect the video as much. My next videos will be more current
