A fun chat! After a busy day in my sewing room and filming, I get to sit and watch you work while I hand quilt! I hope you have a lovely day ahead. Thank you for posting this video!

Thank you so much for explaining the beginning and ending of big stitch. I was struggling with the beginning stitch. Love your videos ❤

I did big stitch a couple years ago on a quilt for my aunt. I used 12wt Perle cotton for the quilting. I did use Q Snaps to hold the quilt and did a two handed method I got from Wendi Gratz of Shiny Happy World.

Good morning from Australia Deborah. What needle are you using? And thank you once again for your tutorials. I am using your method of big stitch quilting (from your pink quilt) for my first very large memory/story quilt. I use a table for my work station as I’m not confident enough to use my lap. I am ecstatic as to how my quilt is looking as I’m manoeuvring around appliqué and photos, and emphasising landscapes. Thank you once again.

Any hand sewing on batiks is more difficult because of the tight weave of the fabric. Big stitch is great because bigger stitches are far easier than small. You need a very sharp needle. Try out a few to see what works best for you.

Could you please lower the volume on your music? As pleasant as the tune is, I cannot hear what you are saying.
