You know what is really disrespectful? When someone beloved to the world of entertainment passes away and there are announcements of remakes or spin-offs even if they don't want it. Disney was like this when Robin Williams died, after Robin's death they announced the remake of Aladdin, now Robin's own relationship with Disney was complicated due to him saying he didn't want his name to be used to advertise Aladdin yet Robin's name was mentioned in the advertising non-stop. Hillenburg expressively said he didn't want any spinoffs of Spongebob yet Nickelodeon disobeyed his wishes.
