I love the “fight” against Iris because with the sound and visual effects and the music it almost felt scary and how Mundane Mann just stood there not moving
So Iris has always been sorta a musclehead. She was never good at politics or that whole side of royalty, so she believed her value to the kingdom is only as a symbol of strength. Her father is a "don't rock the boat" type of leader, but was also sorta right that it would be reckless to go against the church without definitive proof since that could alienate them from all their neighbors in one fell swoop. She isn't weak by any stretch but you can see why recent events have broken her confidence: 1. Her sister got kidnapped right under her nose. 2. She saw how outclassed she was by Alpha. 3. Absolutely powerless during the school invasion while the knights she entrusted to guard Sherry were killed. 4. Just suffered a humiliating public loss to Mundane Mann/Shadow.
They are illustration where the only thing that other people see are a black void within a hood and a red eyes (other people perspectives) which is why they dont recognize it. True reason, the director ask permission to not do the mask from the author since its time consuming to animate it.
@@lop90ful1 nah, he saved her at that moment only because she took away his moment of glory. Helping her take the throne was secondary and only after he showed up as Shadow and saw himself what happened

The VA for Perv also does High Priest Ferdinand in pretty much the same way if you've seen Bookworm.
Cid didnt saved her because he cared. He saved her because she was about to steal all the attention from him. And he cannot allow that xD
