    I want to give you an update. I was helped by a lovely person named Courtney. She is so awesome. I got most everything so far and I'm having so much fun experimenting with all of the awesome LIT colors. I even got the ECTO Orange!
    I'm going to erase my previous question. Thank you! And thank you for your video!

    Thank you for at least three of these videos. Not many videos comparing glow in the dark paints. Im thinking of painting funko pops because i dont want to pay for aftermarket glow funko pops. From this video I'm liking the Ultimate Glow at 10 layers. In the dark it almost matches glow, while the light it spreads more evenly and doesnt cover the underlying colors as much.

      You are so welcome! Thank you very much for watching, I am glad I could assist. I love doing the glow in the dark reviews and have also worked with some neon colors as well. I hope your pop figures come out great!

      @@magicallymj Sorry if you already have a video on it, but do you know other glow in the dark paints that aren't green? (Preferably almost transparent in the light).

    • @magicallymj
      @magicallymj  7 месяцев назад +1

      @Respawn2Much I have a playlist for all the different glow in the dark products I have reviewed. Most do have a slight yellow or green tint especially with more layers. But i think the standard Folk Art Glow would be the best choice for what you are looking for. I know one of my viewers used it for a Gravity Falls style hidden ink book.
      I did not test the glow with the first layer like you had suggested in another comment but you can see through the hyperlapse that once the first layer and even a few after that, dry pretty clear. But here is the link to that review. Let me know if you would like me to make a video doing a trial run of whatever you would like to see. :)

    Do you know which one glowed the longest? What would you suggest to mix Lit with as a clear coat for painting on metal for outdoors? Thanks again for the videos.

    • @magicallymj
      @magicallymj  8 месяцев назад +1

      As stated in the video, LIT definitely glows the longest. As for mixing it, I haven't tried mixing in any other paint bases besides the Super Base from CultureHustle. I'd say it's probably best to mix it with that and the cover it with a clear coat instead of mixing it into a clear coat. I left you a reply on your comment on my varnish video, I don't currently have an answer for best varnish to use on it outdoors, but check out that reply and let me know what you think. 😊

      Thanks so much for watching! Sadly I haven't tried any of thier inks yet. I love all thier other products though so I'm sure it's great stuff. My next Culture Hustle review will be of ICE 💙

    Hi can you mix the decoart with red?

    • @magicallymj
      @magicallymj  10 месяцев назад +4

      Yes you can either mix it with red or add a layer of glow on top of your red coat. I've got a video where I did an experiment where I mixed the glow with a red paint. You can find it in my glow in the dark review playlist 🙂

      @@magicallymj okay you think I’ll have to put a lot of coats over the red for it to glow I’m just going to do coat by coat for trial and error

    • @magicallymj
      @magicallymj  10 месяцев назад +1

      @dripcheck5293 I'd do a coat at a time to make sure the red doesn't get to over shadowed by the glow finish

    Can lit be used in a airbrush & if so how much thinner ratio?

    • @magicallymj
      @magicallymj  4 месяца назад +1

      Sadly I've never airbrushed before so I'm not really certain. I'd like to say that it can be, but it can't be mixed with water. Not sure what you would use as a thinner.
      According to the site:
      "Important - you can't just mix this with water like Stuart's other powder paints. It needs a binder and we've designed it to work with SUPERBASE to create a highly pigmented acrylic paint that will stick to almost anything. However you can also stir it into linseed oil to create an oil paint."
      I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.

    So for those who may be impatient with the 'reveal' in this clip, the brightest is the FOLK ART brand (the 2 center swatches).
    You don't need to wait until a little past the exact midpoint of the vid to know this, it's evident in the first showing, although we never see which pair of swatches are related to which paint until mid vid.
    Now while the CLAIM is that the 3rd brand (the 2 swatches @ the bottom) lasted THE LONGEST in relation to glow time, the best way to have shown this would've been a screen split showing the swatches in the dark on one side a clock showing a speeded time progression on the other. Without that we have to go with the creator's word alone & ignore the possibility that one of these brands may be an undisclosed sponsor of the vid.
    All the same, I am appreciative that someone at least made a side by side (by side) comparison of these acrylic glow in the dark paints & my upvote reflects that as well.

    • @magicallymj
      @magicallymj  7 месяцев назад +2

      First off, I'd like to thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment.
      I am sorry that my video doesn't meet your standards but I do not appreciate you implying that I would lie about being sponsored. I film these videos with my phone, in a small craft room, usually between 2am-5am to guarantee silence from my surroundings. I apologize that my time constraints have limited the way that I film. Had I been sponsored, I would have the means to make this look much more professional - although I think I do pretty well considering my disadvantages.
      With that said - I will take your advice in the future and try to use this screen split technique you speak of. It is a good idea and I think it will benefit viewers. Thank you again for your input and your upvote, they are appreciated.

      @@magicallymj Sorry to be such a 'critic' but this wasn't the first vid I watched in my quest to find out more about how glow in the dark paint interacts with regular paint (nor was it my last) & quite honestly, I was more than a little bummed to see the diminished difference of it over black backgrounds.
      I'm glad my 1.5 cents was worth something.
      Don't let people like me discourage you from doing what you do however you choose to do it.
      However, if you can make lemonade from a lemon, then more power to you. 👍👏🎃👻🕷️
      Happy Halloween.
