It was a blessing to get to meet you at the meet Saturday Seth!!! You have been such an inspiration to me to take on projects on my ‘90 CRX SI that I never thought I could do myself! Guys Seth is as genuine of a guy as you could ever meet!!! Getting to meet and talk for a few and get a picture with you made the whole trip worth it! Thanks so much buddy. I will be making a instagram and hopefully get to stay in touch with you!! CRX LIFE!!!
I had to drop the tank completely on my rebuild CRX after discovering it and the pump were totally rusted out. Even with a quick jack lift the entire thing was giant pain in the butt. Filler neck was killer, front of the straps were a nightmare to get in correctly, just not something I want to ever do again. I feel your pain.
Always love your work mate.. the fuel pump will be the first thing I'll have to do on my civic so this definitely gave me alot more confidence! Thanks for your work as always!
Bought a new crx dx model back in 89 and loved it. I put 230k on it before calling the junk man. The cv joints in these cars have to be replaced every 60 to 70k.
Right there with ya brother! Been busting my ass all week getting my GSR ready for the trip. Biggest job was body work on the hood to prep it for a vinyl wrap, temporary until the car gets painted. Plus lots of other cleanup, new OEM parts, swapping stereos from my Miata, and on and on. Lots of late nights this week. Can’t wait to see all the cars and meet everyone!
I have done that job before. It sucks. I actually don't recommend pulling the tank completely out. Disconnecting the filler neck isn't easy either, and you can damage the rubber lines. The way you did it is actually the best way to tackle that job.
I had the same issue getting the tank back in on my CRX Si. I took mine completely out and the rubber hose that connects the filler neck to the tank split and I had a hard time getting a replacement for it. I think you dodge a bullet not taking the tank out. Great work on your hondas, it inspires me to get back to work on mine.
Man it sucks there isnt any fuel pump access from inside the car so you dont have to drop the tank. But, it is what it is i guess. See you at the dragon
Thanks for the SEM trim black link! I might give this a try on my 3rd gen Honda Prelude👍, my trim is in need of some love. Do you know if this is the same stuff that John @LHT performance uses in some of their videos?
@@crxseth Hey thanks Seth! The SEM paint John uses looks great on the trim pieces too…Both of those SEM paints look great and give it that oem look, I guess I really can’t go wrong with either of those!! Love the channel, keep up the awesome classic Honda content 👍👍
keep that new puimp lubed up with marvel mystery oil from the start. i run about 1/3 oz per gallon through my wifes car every other tank just to give it a bit of a lube.
@@crxseth You can put MMO just about anywhere in an engine and it'll do some good. In the oil it will act as a detergent and keep sludge from building up, in the fuel it acts as an upper cylinder and pump lubricant.
Hey seth, in this vid, you showed that your fuel pump strainer was in reverse order, where did you order the strainer from because you mentioned that it was OEM...
@CRXseth do you have coilovers or lowering springs and what brand. How do you like them? I wanna lower my EK but not sure if I should get coilovers or lowering springs. I don’t want a drastic drop. Something like you have is good for me
@@crxseth I work in the Paint Department at advance Auto. All the Pro shops buy SEM by the case! Great Stuff! Like you know! Great for painting Interior plastics/Vinyl Leather and won’t flake/Peel! Can’t say enough good stuff about it!
I have a chance to own an 1988 Hf crx. Really clean body fresh 2k paint new suspension. California Bard Jdm ZC smog legal. Owner wants $6k I offer him $5.5k. he said he needs time to think about it. I should find out by Saturday.

maaaan, you do one of, if not the best car mechanic content on yt. Ty for all the work you put on it!!!

when I put the fuel pump in my wagon, I dropped the whole thing. On the floor also. I feel like it went smooth. Good work, as always Seth.
About to change the fuel pump in my CRX. Great video! Wish mine was as clean.
Hoping to have the Del Sol done for the next one!
Hope to see you there!
I used SEM trim black on my crx moldings and bumpers and it looks just like the OEM finish! .
🙏 You got this!
Thanks.
I love the “I forgot I had to go to work” 😂

It was definitely a challenge for me. It wasn't super smooth job. It's a lot better when you have access off the car.
What a tough job... Im getting a new Bosch made in Japan pump for mu 90 crx si..just in case it dies.

Love your channel!
Thanks for the support!
Have fun at CHD7 Seth! Cant go this year, but maybe next year I'll see you.
Nice! I’m going to try that trim black paint on my EF Civic trim
Clean crx build 🤗

Time to look into a low ceiling 2 post with the work you are doing

Well, that makes me feel a little better about the struggle I had and not pulling it all the way out.
@@crxseth Where do you find your B pillar trim for your CRXs? And clips? Mine are trashed or missing.
@@mrsmith2908 I’ve never had to buy any.
I wish I could be there but still working on mine
Next year!

Come on Brian, clearly Seth is a master of the safety squint! 😄
Lol I just want more videos lol can’t make them without them balls
Great job as always Seth….. I watch all your videos. What grit sand paper did you use on that door trim before painting it?
Thanks! I don’t remember but it was probably 320.

Definitely silly to not make an access panel inside.

He actually uses SEM Color Coat. It's just a different formula paint. Here is the link to it.
