This album was my top played of the year by a long shot. I was surprised at first, but every time it comes across my shuffle, it plays the whole way through without inervention.
Listening to this with headphones for the first time; when the vocals on “Posters” kicked in, I had to double-check if the audio was instead coming out from my computer speakers. That's the extent of how much a 'Bedroom Pop' gem this record is!
When it came out, and even to this day, I always felt that this album, apart from many others that share similarities, really struggles against the constraints of what I assume to be a pretty rudimentary recording/production setup. These tracks just stand the test of time. It would have been interesting to see which path the person behind them had been led onto, if they had somehow managed to eschew the very bedroomey aestetic of the time. ❤

it's 6/19/2024 rn, my grandma passed away on 15th. today is the last they of her funeral. and i just realized i wanna cry for her.
