I like the way the orange ranger is in business with Taiya who looks to have the same kind of recruitment drive as Captain Marvelous. Surprisingly, the Boonboomgers aren't specifically made to fight the space mafia and it's for the delivery service 😅Sorta like Gokaiger just doing what they want but the villains just get in the way.
My first experience with BoonBoomger proper was somebody uploading the first mech fight on RUclips and the second I heard the changer going “BOOM BOOM!” I was worried. Then I actually watched the show and my opinion of BoonBoomger did a complete 180. And THEN after I learned that my favorite J-pop singer, Nana Mizuki, plays one of the villains, my opinion of the show got even better! I am now excited to follow this show! Still could do with the mech talking and all that “BOOM BOOM!” stuff but whatever.
I mean, the official blog entry for episode 1 litterally reference Team Rocket and the fact that they fought a boy with a voice similar to Bunbun, so yeah, they being basically Sentai Team Rocket was totally on purpose
I like episode 2, especially the opening and the ending along with dance. It's like the next few episodes will revolve around so many mysteries and questions. From episode 2 I already have many questions like 1 why and how taiya is so rich? He has a giant house, he bought a store and a dump yard. 2 what dream taiya and boonboom were talking about that ishirou stopped taiya from telling Mira? 3 what is the backstory of ishirou? He lets taiya and boonboom call them chasshiro but not anyone else 4 if taiya knows and trust bunorange (I forgot his name, I think it's someone bureki) then why did he not give him a changer instead of ishirou or maybe Mira (if ishirou got one before taiya met bunorange)? Maybe we might get answers when there will be an episode all dedicated to taiya bcs episode 1 and 3 are dedicated to Mira and episode 2 is dedicated to ishirou. Also, if you have seen the transformation lesson video you know that ishirou is a different person inside, he shows to be serious but is also some crazy typo. Honestly, I was expecting Mira to be more like kagura (toq 5gou from toqger), ya know, childish and crazy and literally cannot do anything on her own. But luckily it's not the case. One last thing, please, we want king ohger cast to dance on boonboomger ending in boonboomger vs King ohger.
4:37 I was really interested by this part of the episode because Taiya and Boonboom say the boonboomger gear was made for a grander dream they have in mind. So fending off the Hashilien's is just a byproduct of it. Off the top of my head I can't think of another team who's powers were originally created for a different purpose than fighting the villains.
2 episodes in, and so far still alright, it's kind of the start of our status quo(At least until Orange and Black properly become rangers.) but still solid. The most ineteresting revelation was that the Hashilians are just muscle for the Space Mafia(Kind of like Exhaus and the Bowzock), and the reveal of their leader MadRex.(Who fun fact; is voiced by Hiroshi Kaminya who also voices Koji Minamoto in Digimon Frontier, and Levi Ackerman in Attack on Titan.) I'm calling it now; by the time MadRex or one of the higher-ups from the Space Mafia decides to get proactive it's going to cause a bit of a tonal shift. It was kind of cool that despite not being a ranger yet, Genba(Orange) still provided support behind the scenes. Buying out a whole garbage dump just to lure the Vaccum monster into a trap was a pure 1000IQ move, and just cements Taiya as an absolute chad.(He's a genius billionare playboy philantrophist, what else isn't there to love?) Also, Kotsukotsu Pon-pon(The ending theme) Is a bop. Although the OP theme might take a couple of listens for it to truely stick with me.
It’s more harder to get used to the suits more so than toqger ones. It’s really feeling like lupinranger with character driven story while the villains are just there as the B plot. They really pull a team rocket and Giovanni scene.
I'm glad Mira didn't annoy me as much as she did last episode, I like Blue I'm really curious on how he met Taiya and i have to say him asking Taiya to tone it down made me laugh when comparing Taiya to the past reds, Taiya is definitely my favourite so far he's been written with the perfect balance of enthusiasm and seriousness that make him enjoyable to watch. Black seems to be the comic relief and personally its not working Orange on the other hand I'm really excited to see more of and how he came into the fold of working with Taiya.
