Excellent selection of freight workings in the second half of the video. Nice to see two Class 59's and a Colas 60 making an appearance. Lovely station environment. Plus another perfect day weather you had.
Great video, reminded of the days I was lucky enough to grow up on Lodge Farm near Abbots Ripton, Huntingdon, about 20 yards from the ECML and under the flight path of RAF Alconbury. I amazed my friends at school by being able to recognise a HST or a Phantom F4 just by the sound they made....boyhood dreams indeed!
Hi Keith, great video. Always enjoy your filming. I had no idea that was you on the station that day. I am a dispatcher at Slough and was working platform 1&2 that day. I saw you filming but didn't know it was you until I watched this video. All the best.
I'm not a train spotter but have lived in Slough all my life. Fascinating video btw all trains at platform/ bay 1 only go to Windsor for the Castle. Queen Victoria had the spur built especially to make it easier to get home 😀. Glad you had such a great day but please keep your good lady June warm !!
Great video Smile. I was at West Drayton on the same day although a bit later, from about 1230 - 1530. Great amount of freight with these diversions on, although they end Friday I believe. Once again, great footage.
Very good selection there Keith, certainly kept you busy! Glad to see there ended up being a decent amount of freight, and pleased you saw two Mendip Class 59's - and the shot from the train of Colas 60085 worked out very nicely :-) Things should be back to normal on the Banbury route next week, so let's see if we get some Class 68's on Chiltern workings in the daytime..............
Cracking day out dad, 59's, 66623 with de brand, 66177 silver roofed, and much more! Love the boo mum does! Colas tug footage very nice way to end a perfect day for you both
We always used to call Slough....'sluff' as a joke back in the 90's....Haven't been there for Years....Some pretty good movements Keith. Great video...Steve.
SMILEVIDEOTRAINS Yes our room had a very good view of the station, I did take some video, but not enough to make a feature, although I may include some of it as part of a study of the GWR.
Merry Christmas Keith and lady June and a happy new year

Nice one Keith, I stayed in the hotel overlooking the station this weekend. I had great view and as your video showed, there was plenty of action.
Timsvideochannel1 Very good. I take it that your room overlooked the railway/
