@tianxia wushuang On the contrary Arbitral Award is sanctioned by UNCLOS wherein China is a signatory and the WHOLE World acknowledged & applauded the Award on its entirety acclaimed & celebrated it as LANDMARK UN RULING for SCS .
In fact ASEAN Coastal States invoked the award even Indonesia used it as legal basis for Naming North Natuna Sea. Malaysia & Indonesia explored & exercised their Sovereign rights despite of threat of war by giant China.
Even as of now THE WHOLE World (UK, Japan, US, France, Canada, Australia & EVERYBODY else) is using & invoking the Arbitral Award to RP as basis for freedom of navigation, exploration & naval drills.
It is ONLY out of respect & Goodwill for friendly relations that Philippines is NOT SHAMING China as what other countries did in exercising their sovereign rights & freedom of Navigation. In this gesture alone China can truly look at Philippines as a friendly(relative) neighbour.
It is only China REFUSING to look favorably on the Award that is the REALITY.
If China TRULY respects the binding rule of community of Nations.
Now is the time to show the World of LEADERSHIP by example that it is capable of respecting the Sovereign rights of its neighbours & smaller Nations.

PCA has 122 member states and Not an Organ but w/ a UN (193 members) observer status, meaning the Whole World accept & honor its ruling.
Arbitral court has jurisdiction based on UNCLOS in fact it administered 12 cases already.
The World sees, especially the Agrieved party (RP), the wanton Violation of UNCLOS on Philippines Sovereign rights by prohibiting Filipino FISHERMEN, Petroleum exploration, by building artificial islands on Philippines EEZ.
Even the Tribunal ruled (& as the World acknwledged) that China has NO LEGAL basis to claim historic rights to resources w/in SCS specifically w/ the so called IMAGINARY nine-dash line.
With DUE respect & for friendly exchange of ideas/positions only.
If we really want to go deeper in HISTORY as you posit, it should be Mongolia claiming the 9-line not PRC or ROC. since it is the Mongol empire that routed & consolidated territories of the warring dynasties. If we still go deeper we can say Mongol Empire (Kublai) has HORSES but No strong NAVY that can cross the High seas just to claim islets, rock & fish.Further Even Taiwan was not part of China (ROC) since it was ceded by Qing Dynasty to Japan in 1895 but only given land to ROC w/out transfer of Sovereignty as war reparation. Moreover, PRC was founded ONLY in 1949 while Philippines was founded long time ago 1899.
LASTLY with due respect (w/out any negative insinuations) the World is at dilemna who truly is the de jure representative of China is it PRC or ROC. There is ONE Int'l body that recognises PRC as China the UN.. Since the Philippines honors UN, UNCLOS, rulings & guidance until now it adopts one China policy.
It only shows RPs deep respect to China as a friend,kin, partner & neighbour.
We HOPE our countries forget disputes but rather focus on amity & cooperation on the future of humanity especially on economics & space programs. 🙏🤜
